Every band has its general group of people who do not like the band's music. The only reason I feel there are people who say negative things about Nickelback is because it became trendy. Once, a group of us were sitting around discussing Nickelback, and two people (whom I barely knew) said they could not stand Nickelback. I asked them to name one Nickelback song. Neither could. I then asked them to even say one Nickelback lyrics. Again, neither could. They just thought they'd say it to sound cool and then everyone would hop on board with them.

And huge international record labels wouldn't sign any bands if they didn't sound like them.. I'm 54, I saw Van Hagar back in the early 90's @ Red Rocks, what an epic venue!!! I still live in the 80's, give or take 5yrs, musically. I have liked a few new rockers over the years, but absolutely can't stand today's music. I have to say, I've been to plenty of concerts around the world, but these guys sound the same in the studio or live, very rare...PHENOMENAL!!!

Chad Kroeger and James Hetfield are 2 singers I think a lot of people take for granted, but they have been screaming for decades with little difference. People praise Chris Cornell, but realistically, his vocals were shot after 10 years.

Is this a post from an alternate reality? Without comment on Chad, James Hetfield lost his ability to scream after he blew his voice out in 1993. He started to "Sing song" most of the parts he used to yell after this because he simply couldnt do it anymore. The difference in Hetfield's voice after the Justice/Black Album is night and day. As for Chris Cornell the dude sounded consistent throughout his entire career and could still hit most of the high notes. There were a few he wouldn't go to shortly before he died, but overall that dude sounded the same.

I lived in golden colorado in 96,97. My son and I went to red rocks. No band just the setting sun. I told him if music played it would bounce of the red rocks and be intense. He was 5 or 6. He ran up & down the stairs. I sat there wondering how great it would feel to have music Ecoing off the wall of red rocks back at ya and if ya could handle it... I was thinking OH HELL YES I'd feel it!! But never experienced it. If nickelback played There I hope they busted some Red Rocks!👍

This is one venue I'd absolutely love to play at.For an outdoor,completely uncovered facility,it sounds so unfrickinbelievable.The kick drum was literally rocking all of redrocks and that would work out just right for me since Im a drummer.Nickleback has always sounded just as good live as they do on a recording,as a matter of fact,better IMO.There are many,many bands that can't claim the same ability to do that and quite a few of them are/were some of the most well known acts we love.I believe Nickelback just wore listeners out too much because of how heavy their airplay was at one time and some didn't take to that like they did with alot of other bands.

Nobody ever talks about chad and Ryan's guitar tones. Talk about highly underappreciated. They have the most monstrous sounding straight up nasty distorted guitar sound that I've ever heard. Better than any of the "heavier" bands even. This song is a great example along with side of a bullet.
