No an apothecary really was an old timey pharmacy! Where i live there are loads of pharmacies that used to be apothecaries. They kept a lot of the original designs and jars etc. Theyre really beautiful!

For this episode I really love the dynamic between Ross, Rachel and Phoebe those three were hilariously funny. Also I like the look that Ross gives to Rachel like he is said " why did you tell Phoebe that the sheet were very cheap" . 😂😂😂😂 And then following scene Rachel has a funny insult to Ross 😂😂😂😂🤣😂 ( in a delete dialogue between them)

One thing I'm not a fan of is how everytime a character gets into a relationship with someone this person gets blown off the show in a stupid/weird way and most of them have a huge build up for nothing, like Pete, Janine, the girl Joey was in love in season 3, Garry the policeman, Kathy These characters had a huge build up for literally nothing

Not for nothing- the show is about people’s lives and relationships and the reality is that people have numerous relationships over time, some serious and longer term, some short lived and more for fun. There is no rule saying a person needs to stay with one person on a show. Frasier, Will & Grace, Seinfeld, Arrested Development, 30 Rock and so many comedies had their cast continually in new relationships. Also, it shows the gradual change and growth in the characters as they try to improve themselves and create better relationships.

Don't you just love it when writers don't know how to write a character off so they turn their personality 180 out of nowhere. Remember, Janine has been nothing but nice the entire time she was here and even invited Ross and Monica to the New Years Ball, she didn't have to be forced to do that or show any disgust about having to invite them, she just genuinely asked if they wanted to come to a VIP event. But now she all of a sudden hates everything about Joey's friends when she showed no signs of that before. Yep make her unlikeable so Joey breaks up with her and she's off the show for good. The writers suck at writing out guest characters who are in relationships with a main cast member now. Remember Pete? The "don't judge someone by their looks" guy Monica really liked. All of a sudden, this BILLIONAIRE btw, wants to fight people professionally. And would give up his relationship he pursued so much just like that, at the snap of a finger.

Very true. Generally I find Janine's motivation more believable, because it happens than, after knowing them better, you can change idea with people. For me the real issue is the quickness: like 6 episodes to pursue the relationship and one episode for the relationship. It would be better to see Janine try more with Mondler and then it would be more believable. About Pete yeah, utterly ridiculous. But also Dave with Phoebe... and even Emily.it would be more believable for her to stopthe wedding not the whole dumb back and forth about Rachel.

Pottery Barn is a large company - the corporations usually treat employees badly. And Phoebe doesn't like that they produce the same stuff over and over. But also, I don't get why Ross doesn't just tell her that colonial old furniture probably has "story" of sIaves being mistreated next to it, husbands forcing themseIves on their wives and indigenous people's lands being colonized.

“Apothecary” originally meant a person who formulated and sold medicines and herbs, now more often called a druggist or pharmacist (in Britain- a chemist) but has also come to mean the place where medicines or similar concoctions are sold, a pharmacy, drug store. In the show ‘Schitt’s Creek’ there is an apothecary store which doesn’t sell drugs but sells personal products like soaps and lotions.

I remember the running joke we all had with this show was if a celebrity name showed up as a recurring character being a love interest for one of the titular Friends, it was the equivalent of a red shirt in Star Trek: they were not long for this universe. lol. This, of course, did eventually come back to finally backfire on us and the show subverted those expectations. When Phoebe started a new romantic story arc and they cast Paul Rudd, that one was a lay up in terms of predicting that his days were numbered. Then he kept showing up week after week. Then they broke up. Then they made-up by the next episode. Then they got engaged. Then, well .... at some point he starts a life of crime, gets a ragtag crew of professional thieves and Pym particles, a suit with nano-bot tech with the ability to shrink and grow at will, and liberate the Quantum-realm....all by season ten! what cough cough spoilers cough

She's sweet enough to ask to not go out 2 nights in a row, then to give it another shot, and be the first to want to apologize. She is being reasonable. Your friends don't have to click either your significant other. You connect with different people in different ways, and it is all in a short period of time....goodness gracious. Things change where people can be ok or cool with a person and not have fun with someone right away or not so much. Terrible...goodness that guy...

Janine was never going to be there long as Elle Macpherson is a supermodel not an actress. I loved the way they wrote her, it's always good to get a perspective of the characters from another character who doesn't adore them all and she played it well

While I don't think you can force someone to like someone, I do think Janine at least could have been nicer or at least allow herself to warm up to them. She did not have to insult Joey's best friends and instead could've soften her complaints about them ("I was a little nervous", "They're a little overwhelming.")

Well maybe because they are different people….. Janine never told Joey he could never see Chandler and Monica again, Janine never left Joey and didn’t talk to him for weeks. There is no reason why there should be a correlation between Janine and Emily.

If you are talking about Nick and Cody they didn’t just hate Emily. Cody liked her for half of a season until the wedding and Nick liked her until 4 episodes after the wedding. He even defended her multiple times against Cody. The reason they didn’t like Emily is something Janine never did, force Ross to choose her over his friends. I guarantee you they wouldn’t like Janine if she just told Joey don’t hang out with Monica or Chandler.

@@targaryianboss4042 Emily was totally justified at every point of the show, far better than Rachel n Monica even. Put urself in her shoes, ur spouse is still friendly with his ex and former crush. Most women wouldn't be ok with their spouse having even friends of the opposite sex. Ross was the one who kept begging for forgiveness. N if anything,Emily was too innocent not keeping her self respect above! He tortured her, calling all her relatives. For him to move to her country was only fair. N Rachel always loses feelings whenever Ross's single, her feelings only rekindle when he's committed 😒. So they're both equally problematic and deserve each other. Emily Obv deserves someone much better. Every female char. on the show pissed me off less than Rachel tbh
