Sometime I tear up just by witnessing sheer beauty. I think that’s what I saw in you the first 2 minutes. It’s easy to get overwhelmed by how clean and pretty Tyler sounds.

This is a love song to his beautiful wife Senora May. His Lady May. He has written many songs for her and he's quite a poet.

"Hickry" is a common pronunciation for those who are from the Appalachian Mountains. I am 68 and while my family came out of those mountains before I was born, my family, now educated and with strong work ethic, still use those shortened, slow ways of saying a word. It sounds like home to me.

I’m from the same city as Tyler and have known him for quite a while. I was confused for a second as to why he thought we said it funny. 😂

Tyler has so many great songs, Feathered Indians is another great song, Down Low with Town Mountain live from Red Rock, In Your Love, Nose on the grindstone, Whitehouse road, and Creeker are all great songs ❤❤

I LOVE this song! Tyler is one of my favorite artists and Tyler clearly writes his own songs--the emotion pours out of him every time he opens his mouth. Would absolutely love to see more Tyler on your channel.. all the red barn studio sessions by him are incredible! I always think of my mama, who was living in Tennessee when she died too young at the age of 51, when I hear "Follow You To Virgie"... if you listen to that one, make sure to do the red barn version where he gives the background of the song.

My grandmother was the matriarch of our family, the glue. I know third cousins, great aunts, ‘distant’ relatives well because of how she fostered family. Two cousins and my younger brother all lived with her at different times. She passed a year ago to the day and Follow You to Virgie was the song I reached for and always come back to when the grief gets too big to hold alone. I love all his songs but that one is just so sincere and special

Watching this video: *poster tears up* this is so beautiful. I'm amazed...baptized in your nane...geez.. KZbin: "YOU BEEN TO TACO BELL LATELY?! CHECK OUT THE NEW CANTINA MENU!!!!" VIDEO: so...the toughest hickory...let's discuss that...

She chose him out of all the same type of hickory trees in the forest. It was so powerful that the mountains blushed when he fell for her. I love this so dang much.

I grew up listening to mom's classic 70's country, pure and true, and country was my #2 genre until Garth took it crossover in the 90's, hence pop-country we have today, smh. So my love for country stopped after Garth, UNTIL TYLER. From the hills of Kentucky, and writes all his songs. This was early Tyler, just him and his guitar...this written for the love of his life, that turned his life of partying around and settled him down, her name is Senora May, "Lady May". Tyler has such a yearning cry in his voice...he doesn't "Follow You To Vergie" in this set...where it even brings Tyler to tears, OMG! Tyler is his own man, and he broke barriers year or so ago writing "In Your Love", about his gay cousin who was like a brother to him...Tyler caught some shit over it (abut being gay), but he said his cousin LOVED country music (who passed away), and his way of honoring his memory...in the country genre his cuz loved, and wanted him represented in it. Have tissues ready if you watch the video. Tyler has a band now, best in the business really, and larger arenas...was nominated for a Grammy '24 for "IYL". Sorry long, but LOVE Tyler, real country among all the pop-country now...Morgan Wallen, LOL...I just can't. Tyler also wrote "All Your'n" for his wie, Senora...live at red rock w/the band he rocks the house...totally different look since he cleaned up...rednecks rag him for "going woke", whatever. Small minds...

Not loss. He was a hickory, very firm in his ways (maybe with walls up), and she came along and cut his roots away and this hardened man fell for her. She becomes his new foundation upon which he rebuilds.
