The circle of life is funny sometimes, this sounds all too familiar with Lil' Kim. In 2009, Birdman wanted Kim on a song, Kim did the song sent it back, they added Nicki after. Kim was all for the collab, there was even supposed to be a music video (Song: Grindin' Gettin Money). But Birdman pulled the song from all platforms (it's on his deluxe album tho) and didn't even tell Kim, at all, completely cut her off. Lil' Kim was literally about to do a big deal with Young Money in 2009 but they did her dirty, and Birdman turned it into a Kim vs. Nicki thing. All of this can be confirmed by Kim's 2012 Breakfast Club Interview.
