I like Beyoncé, but she always uses other people’s songs. She never writes her own, despite her claims. She apparently just gets songs written by other artists and adds her name to the writing credits without actually having done anything. She’s had issues with a few artists because of her claiming that songs they wrote were her own creations. Also, for all her claims of being a strong woman, her image was carefully managed, controlled, and regulated by her dad and then managed, controlled, and regulated by her husband. She stays with her husband even though he cheats on her. She’s never actually been an “independent woman” in the true sense of the phrase. Again, I do like her, so this isn’t meant to be hate - it’s just the truth. People need to realise that the “image” of Beyoncé is just as fake and crafted as that any other major pop star. They’ve packaged up the “strong black woman” image and sold it to us in the form of a pop star, just like they did when they took the Spice Girls and sold “girl power”. Record companies see what audience want in a celebrity, and they commoditise it by creating that personality...but it’s always a facade. It’s a shame so many people don’t realise that they can like an artist or their music without worshipping them, or buying into the fake image and commercially-produced mythos around them.

Bring a senior citizen I'm not from the today's generation of music. But in my opinion I think that Beyonce is very talented a very down to earth person you can tell that her mother raised her to have respect for others.
