I like ej, I’ve seen him over 70 times…I’m a huge fan . So sad however that people decide in cases like this that a child doesn’t get to have both parents. To be born, and have it decided before you’re born that you won’t have a dad, or in this case a mom is ethically wrong. My parents had a terrible marriage by the time I was born. But I’m truly glad that they gave me themselves, that I had access to a mom and a dad,however flawed. I learned things from my dad my mom couldn’t have taught me, I learned things from my mom, my dad couldn’t have taught me. I got dad hugs, I got mom hugs. There’s a difference. Both are great. I’m glad I had both. Also , what isn’t taught, is often caught.

I take it you grew up with a mom and a dad like most kids, and if that worked out for you, then that's great, and I'm happy for you. But if you had grown up with two dads, or two moms, you'd very likely be the opposite way, saying it's fine for a kid to have two of anything, *or* one of each. You're only preaching what you know. Search up interviews and videos by children, now adults, who were raised by gay couples. Of course -- not every gay person is going to be an amazing one. There *will* be bad experiences, but that doesn't say anything about the sexual orientation of the parent: think of the millions of straight deadbeat dads and absent moms out there; that doesn't reflect on every straight person in the world. These kids, if their parents were good, say that they were raised well, and they do not regret having two dads or two moms. It's just different. You come at this from the corner of your own experiences, and that's fine -- nobody's expecting you to magically know what the other side is like. But it's on you to learn more before you say something like this. And if I'm honest, the bad part about having two dads? It's people who belittle the child for it. You are the only downside of it -- those who invalidate their experiences, tell them that they were brainwashed; that their parents were awful for them, and how bad you feel for them. You are the reason they feel ashamed or embarrassed to bring up who their parents are. If all the world was normal about it, and had their act together, they would feel NO shame or otherness in saying that about themselves. If you genuinely care for the well-being of these and any other children, your comments, however well-intentioned, are the harm done to them. Not their loving parents, who -- and did you even watch the video? -- put SO much thought into raising them right, but it doesn't matter to you because oh, they don't have a mom. They have Lady Gaga as their godmother anyway; what more could you ask for? I hope you can put some thought into this and just be better for the sake of everyone trying to make it out in this world.
