Thanks for explaining this. Still not sure which one I’ll get. Sucks I’m just thinking about getting one now that Black Friday and cyber Monday passed. I won a free GoPro hero black 9 with accessories from work a few years ago but never really used it. Will try it this Ski/snowboard season, and later on my OneWheel and motorcycle to see if it’s even worth investing in a 360 cam. 🤠Ski Mount Rose

Just sold my X4 as you mentioned its just incremental upgrade so only good for BTS and you cant rely on them for the shots with lens flare etc

just picked up x4 for 350. is the stick not invisible anymore:? you were skating with the pole visible in shots

Good question, it's still invisible! The pole you see in my shots is from the other camera. I had both the X3 and X4 setup side by side so when the footage is from the X4, you're seeing the stick from the X3 and vice versa :)

Absolutely, the footage in this video has not been adjusted on either camera in any way :)

Thanks for this review! I have the X3 and wondered if it was worth upgrading to the X4. Since I edit all my videos in FCP, I can take the X3 footage and get the colors to look better and having better resolution is always a nice upgrade, but the lack of HDR photos is a show stopper for virtual tours. I may wait for the next upgrade, as it should be significant when compared to the X3.
