@@bhartisingh3466 . It is easier at first and yet with much Buddhist practice and meditation with constant readings of Buddha writings and Buddhist stories, that life gets a lot easier. The 8 Noble Path truly does take the sword edge from much of the fetters/chains. Also Lust is extremely difficult to overcome, but Buddha went into detail about ways to overcome it. Such as viewing everyone as family members and, in extreme cases, as if they had no skin. Eventually, Lust desires dissipates as it is promised.

I feel a deep respect and love for the buddhist monks and their filosophy. They don't waste their time talking or trying to convince people from different backgrounds and religions that they are right and the others don't. They show us their true essence in complete silence but it is a very powerful silence that is stronger thant a thousand words or speeches. Things must appear to be what thay really are in their simplicity; not in appearence and illusion. I also respect Buddha and feel reverence towards him. Our Buddhist brothers show us what deep foccus and calmness can bring and with their example and simple way of living, they are saving and balancing our world. Greetings from Portugal.

Abby Bella, it is impossible to live in this world and "never" experience such, even if you follow the Buddhist path. However, what is possible is to be so rooted and grounded into the spiritual teaching that you are not overwhelmed, enslaved by heartache and pain. Lastly, I don't think that a person who is following the Buddhist path is effectively practicing the way if they don't experience such, because in some instances, heartache and pain are inextricably bond to compassion, which is very characteristic of Buddhism. In other words, one must experience heartache and pain to some extent in order for compassion to emanate. We may not label the negative emotional change within us as such, but that's what we are experiencing first- heartache and pain.

I've heard that the monks are never supposed to say 'thank you' for the food, and it's considered bad manners to do so. Is this correct?

For us, the way we say thank you is by offering them a blessing 😊

The givers should say the thank you not the recievers:) you see they are pouring water and monks chant mantra, it's called pattidana the transfer of good thing to ancestors and the late loved ones
