Thank you for watching. Could you see yourself walking on this pilgrimage with the monks?

Yup. I could see myself walking on this pilgrimage as a monk, I am strongly hoping that.

I can see myself taking that wonderful sacred journey with the monks for 5 days, why not? In fact, I envy their way of life. Who wouldn't want a peaceful, simple, communal, non-materialistic way of life? We live be in such a chaotic world especially nowadays, it literally drains every cell in my body 🥵 Pissarro once wrote "Blessed are those who see beautiful things in humble places where other people see nothing." Btw.......... Your videos are so amazingly well-made, they should be featured in the History International channel 👍🏻

This is very touching. No narration needed. You allowed us to enjoy it in silence, as the monks did. I see that you are developing your videographic skills, now using a drone. Showed us a beautiful perspective of the landscapes and the monks walking through it from above. Did you know that you had this talent in you, to be such a great story teller? Without even saying a word, merely presenting the images. Beautiful and inspiring, as so many of your other videos are. May the Buddha continue to guide, protect, and bless you . . . In gassho . . .

Ven. Nick - I recently came across your videos. Thank you for them! I will be watching more. I’m curious about the timeline of your journey. What did you do in 2015 & 2017 towards becoming a monk? Are you spending time in the U.S. & Thailand? How does monk life intersect with your work?

Thank you so much and welcome. Yes the timeline is a bit confusing as I ordained temporarily several times. However, this is the longest I've been in monkhood. During that time period, I was a lay person working as a therapist for a drug treatment center in Malibu and doing my own private practice 😊

@@NickKeomahavongOfficial . Thank you for replying. "Temporarily" is an interesting concept. Do you think that this is now your permanent home/life? Also...I think you went home for a while. (You did a series of daily posts that may have been a trip back home.) If true, how did you continue your Buddhist practice/monkhood during that time?
