I grew up in a literal dry county, so this song always hit hard for me.

This is a song you can show someone who doesn't think they like Bon Jovi. The band is at or near their peak here. And, yes, learn the solo! We want to see you rocking this out.

unfortunately this song is just alone in their dioscography. i mean there are no other songs like this one. They turned into a country rock band in the last 20 years. i love the 80s sound of first 2 and half (with Slippery counting just half) CDs. These days i liked it but only in the rock songs. i didn't really like how slow they were becoming (bitter wine, diamond ring, lie to me, my guitar lies bleeding...) but the Cd was ok. Then i started listening to metal and i didn't follow Bon Jovi anymore. Of coruse i knew the singles (it's my life, have a nice day) in the early 2000 but they seemed just like a normal rock countri band (even more country in many other songs i just recently listened).

Love this song, great request Franck! I think it is one of their better ones (for me anyway:) Also enjoyed hearing your special connection Nick to Sambora with your guitar. Thanks so much for this reaction and comments.

This period of Bon Jovi was one of the best, IMO. Blood On Blood is another great one that is overlooked! Thanks for giving this some airplay.

That album is really good, this is song is amazing! I loved the albums from 1986 to 1995, after that, I feel it was more pop that rock, but that's me... Man I love that that 2 part solo! Sure, you can learn it, one section or the other or both 😍 Man, the Jon has such an incredible voice. We have everything here, piano, guitar, bass, drums, vocals! Hopefully people listen to this instead of writing off Bon Jovi just with the name!

Thank you, Franck for the great request, and Nick, thank you for the great reaction, I've seen Bon Jovi multiple times in concert, I live near Philly, and they are from New Jersey, which is close to where I live, great show every time.

@@franckthibault2521 I agree with Nick and some others here, this song is one of my favorites for sure! For me personally, I first saw the Band live way back in 1985. It was Halloween night and they were opening for RATT in support of their sophomore album release, 7800 Fahrenheit, which was absolutely amazing. I have been a fan of theirs since seeing "Runaway" on the Mtv!

(Kinda late here.) I started listening to Jon when I was 4, back in 2003. we had this old VHS with some bon jovi's albums and tapes, and i knew how the machine worked haha, found the cassette, put it in the VHS and played it. It was a Keep The Faith album, it was the first time I was in touch with music, and I vibed to it. since then bon jovi has turned into a pilar in music for me. got me to appreciate all the good stuff and protected me from the crap the sounds nowadays. This Album, New Jersey, Slippery When Wet and Crush is with what I grew up listening, then discovered other albums and similar bands, got a huge amount of songs that for "my age" I shouldn't even enjoy. Thanks to Jon, my favorite music genre are Hard Rock and Power Ballads. Dry County is my top 3 of Bon Jovi's songs, up there with In These Arms, and Lay Your Hands on Me.

Estaria bueno que reaccionaras a una banda Argentina de Black Metal... Se llama Darker Mysteria, te recomiendo el tema Liturgia de Oscuras Misticas o Diosa Brillante de Oscuro Manto... Ojala puedas escucharla

I want to REMIND everyone that SAMBORA just PLAYED the solo he DIDN'T come up with it or have ANY INVOLVEMENT in it This WHOLE song is by JON BON JOVI
@zhelyazkopetkov821118 күн бұрын
The lyrics are written by Jon, sure. I find it hard to believe that he came up with the guitar solo, it sounds like a classic Richie part.

To me all I hear when dry county comes on is Bon Jovi trying to be dire straits playing telegraph road . It’s ok but the drummer lets the band down and from what I read the bassist (RIP) want that interested half the time and they had to get other musicians to do his parts in the studio Sambora is better in his own. The album stranger in this town is excellent and dare I say it he’s a better singer than Jon
