The Vasco da Gama, once "Statendam" with Holland America Line, "Pacific Eden" with P&O Australia and most recently for a short time with CMV and Transocean respectively, is now owned by Mystic Cruises and sails for Nicko Cruises. The Vasco da Gama, operating since 1993, is already one of the classical cruise ships - with lots of team wood, generous interior and exterior space as well as in generally speaking plenty of space per passenger.
In addition to renovations and minor conversions, the ship underwent a comprehensive, technical modernization at the Portuguese Lisnave shipyard near Lisbon following its takeover by Mystic Cruises while the design implemented by P&O Cruises during a comprehensive renovation in 2015 has remained almost completely intact, with only a few details having been changed since then.
On cruisetricks.de you will also find a detailed picture gallery of the Vasco da Gama ( www.cruisetric... ) and - in German language - a ship portrait ( www.cruisetric... ) as well as a podcast episode about this ship ( • Vasco da Gama im Schif... ).
