Been to a couple of his evenings with Nicko and met him twice. An absolute gent no ego just a lovely down to earth guy who takes everything with a laugh and a joke great drummer don’t do to much technical stuff but what he does do he does oh so very well. Love the guy!!

Certainly a great drummer but not the best. That's just your own opinion which is fine. I always thought the late Clive Burr was better. Clive may not have been filled with chops like Nicko but he played with great feel. This is something that you have or don't.

Nicko can and has used a double pedal but very rarely, I read somewhere that he's only ever used one on maybe one or two Maiden songs. The reality is that as a rule he chooses not to use double bass kits or double pedals because in Nicko's own words double bass is 'undrummerish' as he put it.
