As a plant seller, peperomia will always stay in my range of plants I offer because though the price may be low, they make a big difference in anyone’s collection! I try to turn naysayers out!!! Lol! My favorite is probably, well definitely not yours is the red schumi! Pretty sure my entire peperomia collection started because I watch you 🤣💖

Peperomia definitely have that casual weedy aesthetic that I love. My rotundifolia is doing well but my angulata doesn't seem to like me much.

I only have 2 peperomia plants. My peperomia hope is in a big self watering pot in cacti mix. I’ve had her 4 years and she’s 4ft long. The top is that full you can’t see the soil lol. She lives in my conservatory so gets lots sun. She gets watered about once every 3 months. Absolutely love her. My other one is not so good even though it’s still growing lol. It’s the peperomia columella I think that’s how it’s spelt. I might add something similar to the hope. I’ve got some good ideas watching this. Loved this video 💚🌱🌿🥰🪴👏

Nice video Nick :) I just have to say when you mentioned that the Maculosa is kind of rare and really expencive, I felt kind of lucky, because one time I saw that plant and fell in love, didnt know what it was or anything, full and big leaves, and it was about 13 dollars. But I never seen it before or after again here in Sweden so I wonder if it is a rare plant here to.. Well I love it, and I really like that Elongata to. Happy Holidays :)

Now I have to count all my peperomia...thanks to your videos I got pretty infatuated with peperomia. I have more than a couple I'm not sure of their identity but they're thriving just the same. My favorite is my first obtusifolia, it's my most massive pot after my monstera deliciosa
@M_SC2 жыл бұрын
Wow, it sounds big. i wish I could see. I find they have a wonderful smell (of leaves are damaged). Like chocolate kinda

@@M_SC it's at least 18 inches tall and wide. It's in a 12" glazed ceramic pot. I'll make a video of my peperomia collection so far, so you can see it. One of my most impressive plants, in my opinion anyway lol

I have a fair bit of peperomia species, but I didn't have any of these until watermelon. I have great luck with obtusifolia, caperata, Rana verde etc. So funny how that works...different climate I guess.

I have a rosso and it would start wilting so I would water it it from beneath in a candle top that I have for it and it would perk up and a week later it would wilt and I would water it and it would perk up and so on until one day it was wilted and I stuck the meter in the pot and the whole thing came out whilst sticking to the meter so I thought this thing needs more water so I gave it water from the top. That was a mistake. It went south 😢

I really like peperomia caperata varieties. I have peperomia caperata 'luna red' and peperomia caperata 'ripple rosso'. I also like peperomia flowers, especially when they're surrounded by African violet flowers. I like the contrast. I have both of them in small terracotta pots in a well draining soil. I used fox farm ocean forest as my base and added perlite, pumice, and coconut husk chunks. I wait for them to dry out before I bottom water. I don't have any trailing peperomia. Currently my only trailing plants are scindapsus pictus argyraeus and exotica as well as a kalanchoe uniflora.

I only have 2 pepperomias that give me trouble (but they are still alive!). A Margenata and a Ferreyiae. I think I overwatered them, so I stopped. Now they look stronger but not producing any new growth. Maybe in the Spring…?

I love ur videos as usual but I have to give glasshouse works a break because the first two shipments were amazing. Unfortunately the last 3 all the plants arrived laced in scale. It’s been so bad that u can even tell the difference between the plant stems. I mean all the plants. I never purchase less than 10 plants per purchase and it so sad. Didn’t matter what plant. The snake plants, philodendron, peperomia, u name it that are completely covered. I reached out to them and they never responded. It really saddens me because their shipping and handling is the cheapest out there. I also love peperomias. I have quite a few and I’m going to Oder some that u have on ur list, just not from glasshouse works

Hi Nick! So far I've never had good luck growing peperomias. I do love the way some of them look, so I may have to try again some day.....¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I especially like the smaller leaved ones, like the P. quadrangularis, P. hoffmannii, and P. japonica, but I do love the look of the P. elongata, too. I enjoy this kind of video, too. Any collection you choose to show, I'll watch. Thank you so much for sharing!

I've grown a P. polybotrya from a single leaf. It is now a bushy plant and I'm loving its dark shiny leaves. "Verticillata" refers to a whorl growth pattern - like how the leaves grow in whorls from the stems.

Hi Nick. Just want to make sure. Are Peperomia maculosa and elongate the same plant? That elongata seems to have longer petiole and the tip of the leaf is more sharpy. Or mine will look like it when it is mature?
