Justin Long shot his scenes with the ball launcher first and it was set painfully high but he didn't complain and just tanked the hits. Only after the other actors complained it was too much did they turn it down. They were all shocked Justin kept doing it.

Fun fact: the movie was supposed to end with Average Joe’s losing the dodgeball tournament. The director, and other filmmakers as well as Vince Vaughn liked the idea of them losing because that shows real life where sometimes you don’t always win. However when they did a preview showing the audience hated it. So they went back and added the Double Fault with White stepping over the line. Which I agree with the audience. A movie is supposed to be the escape from reality where good does triumph over evil and the there is the happy ending.

Old School also fits the same type of comedy feels as Dodgeball. Those early 2000 comedies are classics. This movie was so popular that it eventually gave birth to ESPN becoming ESPN8 The Ocho for 4 days out of the year showing really obscure sports from around the world. They started it in 2017 and have been doing it every year since. I love how Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor are married and they have to act like they do in this movie. In Tropic Thunder, she makes an appearance as a stable girl when they talk about his role in Simple Jack on the news. Funny post-credit edit they missed in this movie. Look at White Goodmans' G on his necklace at 22:16. It's just floating... Left announcer was the boss in Office Space. The joke is that Chuck Norris always does a thumbs up.

20th Century music Fanfare theme composer is Alfred Newman. He was head of Fox music section from the 1930's onward. He has won multiple Oscars in his career and today if you see a film composer with the last name Newman there is a great chance they are related. I know Randy and Thomas Newman are for sure.

He composed it first in 1933, and it was used (a longer version was introduced in the 1950s) until the early 70s, by which time it had been phased out. Interestingly, George Lucas liked it, and insisted that he be allowed to put it at the start of Star Wars in 1977. John Williams even wrote the SW intro music in the same key, so it sounded like the Fox fanfare blended into the SW theme music, and the Fox fanfare continued to be used until Disney bought them a few years ago.
