I received my pair of DS-SLATE in Dec 2024, and I enjoy mine greatly. I got mine in a toe cap, rolled top, gun metal hook and eye color, black edge, 55-Last, and a V-Bar outsole. Your video pushed me in getting a pair of Wickett & Craig DS-Slate boots.

Not sure if Nicks still carries them but they had some natural rawhide laces I threw on some black White’s boots and have liked how the laces have patina’d. Think they’d go well with the sole you got too!

Spending big money on PNW boots is worth it in the long run. I already own 3 pair of Whites. I am a moc toe person so mist of my boots are moc toes. I have a pair of their Perry Moc Toes in a rough out leather and 2 of their Perry Select boots as well. Great fit and build quality is very good. All 3 where under $400. Still waiting my Nicks that I ordered. The build time is rather long which is the only reason I could see as a negative. Now, I am trying to decide about ordering a pair of Whites MP Sherman with a toe cap or a pair of Nicks Americana boots. Both boots are the same cost and both won't be ready till next Spring. I would order a pair of these boots with a heavier Vibram sole and toe cap. That's an extra $100 for this new boot..Please let me know what you think...Really appreciate your channel very much..

Nice looking boots there Carl though. Honey vibrams natural colour is really under utilized in terms of aesthetic. I think it would be interesting to "tattoo" the soles with fun pattern, if that makes sense. wonder if the leather is similar to something like Horween's Double Stuffed Goodness .

nice leather. any chance you could also include the thickness (prefferably in mm but inches will do as well) alongside (not instead of unless you want to) their weight? 6 or 8 ounces doesnt really say anything to those outside the usa (and even within it plenty of people would prefer the thickness)
