Thanks for that Adam, being hobbyist I don’t have a lot of money to spend on top of the range tools. I made the torch lighter igniter as a bit of a tongue in cheek alternative to the expensive electric ones available. hi Tammie thanks for that, the tool is called “external circlip pliers” they’re not sold in the jewellery industry they are more of a vehicle mechanics tool. I once tried VoiceOvers but had a few comments saying my voice sounded miserable. So soon gave up on that. my next one will be my 100th video. so it will be melting a silver bar hopefully … N

I sort of know the theory of making a Franco chain. You make two Cuban style curb chains one twisted to the left and one twisted to the right and then solder them together back to back. After soldering it’s filed to shape to give a flat form on opposite sides … N

It’s a very elegant chain, I’m surprised no one‘s produced a video showing how it’s made. I’ve been meaning to try and give it a go, soldering the two chains together neatly will probably be the difficult bit … so another one on the to do list … N
