Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez yeah, I’m all for expensive knives and own some that are way more expensive than this drunken but there is no way this is anywhere near worth $400. Spyderco really has lost their minds I think cause their pricing is terrible. I really like the spyderco delica but jeeze that knife isn’t worth near $100. What is the reason for the blade shape near the point? I've seen a lot of knives with similar points lately. There is a point on the end but it seems like it's designed to make it not a good knife for stabbing. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of having a point on the end?
@aidanocallaghan12845 жыл бұрын
It's better for drawing cuts. You can still stab, but it isn't as good at "stabbing." Still plenty of knives for that though.

I find it odd that you can see the lock bar insert screw when the knife is both open and closed. A poor design choice in my view. Internal screws should not be plainly visible at all times like that. Surprised that Sinkevich let that go.

Now this is just an opinion, but if the blade is your favorite part of the knife then the manufacturer did something right. Knives are, at the end of the day, typically intended to be used as tools and since the blade is the only part of the knife used as a tool, then it should be the best part of the knife if it was designed and produced properly. I get that some knives have very good action or ergonomics but if the blade isn't great what have they really accomplished? Great offering by spyderco, and great review as always Nick. I'm looking forward to the spydiechef 2, whenever that comes out.
@toejamr15 жыл бұрын
Not really. If you don’t like using the tool because of poor ergonomics, they failed because you’re not going to even use the tool.

@fettmaneiii44394 жыл бұрын
Also my other ZT's had the same issue with the lockbar relief sitting just under the pocket clip. It frayed a few of my pockets, but then again so did the little bent up tips of the wire deep carry clip of my Slyzs Bowie. I filed those flush to the scale, but in fairness my Bowie out of the box frayed my pocket as well, and worse than the ZT.
