The bear paw knife is a knife I got for my mom in the early thousands! It had to be 2000 or 2001.I tried to engrave her name, Aleisha not Alaska, but being 8 or 9 years oldish, I wasn’t very good. This is incredible! It was in my dads old hunting backpack she tried to use as a carry on going to Colorado and she never checked the pockets. I can’t believe this, I remember it being claimed a few years ago and the story she told about it but what are the literal odds that ended up here. It was claimed by TSA in 2012, and its almost 20 years old now. I’m sending this to my mom and dad right away, what a small world. This video pops up in my recommendations for whatever reason, I watch it because why not, and I made it this far in the video to see it. My excitement can’t be shared by the rest of the viewers, BUT THIS IS LITERALLY UNREAL with the set of coincidences leading up to this.

True story, I had a small gerber in my backpack I forgot about and the Toilet Seat Administration (TSA) found it so I gave it up, about a year later I was browsing eBay for used knives and came across the same model gerber being sold in a TSA lot from a guy in Atlanta (where I had to give it up) further inspection showed that it was my knife. I could tell due to some unique blemishes on the blade and scales, so I ended up buying my same knife back just for the story, since this was a cheap backup knife anyway.

I prefer Kershaw because they seem to have more affordable blades though they have poor material knives that they want over 50 bucks for too just not as many imo. Cold steel is a good one though for price to material ratio. Nowadays I prefer Chinese brands because I can get way better materials for the price.

Ha. I've been rocking a full size Gerber Paraframe lately. I forgot about it and it was in my box of knives. People sure do crap on that knife. Mine is from 2005/6 and it was my entry knife into the knife world and it surprisingly has very smooth and fast opening and no side to side blade play. Gave it a razor sharp free hand sharpening. The other thing is if I lose it at work it won't bother me. My usual carry is a Buck 110 aluminum, Buck 560 titanium, Gerber 06 Manual or Adamas. I'll be honest though, I almost had to give myself a pep talk before I started carrying the Paraframe again. I actually have been watching videos on it trying to find someone who will give it a positive attribute. Oh well, put it to work today and it did the job.

I haven't watched a Nick Shabazz video in probably a year, sort of fell out of the knife/gear hobby, and on a whim thought "8lbs of knives from the TSA" seemed like it may be a bucket of giggles. I was right. My neighbor probably thinks I'm having some sort of psychiatric event. Completely broke at the retirement home knife. Well played Mr. Shabazz.

The TSA once missed 27 12 gauge Remington shotgun shells in my bag. They caught it in the way back and we had a bit of a laugh about the outgoing TSA missing something so damn obvious in carry on!

There used to be a Swiss Army knife, pretty sure it was Victorinox, with eating utensils. My brother had one decades ago as a Boy Scout. I’d forgotten about it and haven’t seen one since but this reminded me.
