The one guy who hung for 12 minutes, was constantly relieving tension in his arms (that is why he was hanging with 'one finger') He would shift weight from one arm to the next. Idk if that is cheating, it is still impressive to be able to hang with one arm back and forth for that long and be able to manage the pain and muscle fatigue. I just finished the video, the winners did it too.
@mandingo9471

He kept his hands on the bar. Lifting fingers while keeping your hand on the bar is strategy to relieve tension. The kid however cheated by taking his whole hand off the bar and resting his leg on the banner stand.

@@maximofernandez196 they weigh basically nothing but have developed grip strength from climbing literally that simple. They’re quarter of the weight of an adult so it’s way easier to hang, like the inverse of how strongman competitors can barely do 12 pull-ups despite being insanely strong because they weigh 140kg+.
@maximofernandez196
@maximofernandez196 Жыл бұрын
@@user-ns3vs3bp3e Yeah, but I thought that, because kids do not tend to build muscle. But it kinda says how strength and muscle can differ, which is interesting
@user-ns3vs3bp3e
@user-ns3vs3bp3e Жыл бұрын
@@maximofernandez196eh yes and no. Yes it’s true for grip strength because most of it is ligament strength from the fingers which develops and acts differently to muscle, no it’s not true for say a bicep curl where it’s muscular strength where a bigger muscle would produce more force. + we have to account for fatigue from holding heavier weight being a grown adult weighing more because it’s not 1-1 be heavier be able to hold heavier weight the same amount of time... in other words it’s more complicated than it sounds why they can hang longer than most adults who aren’t climbing every day so we just gunna go with “their weight to grip ratio is insane at that age” 😂

Nah most people know it's not a big deal for kids to hang for a long time. It is a weight to strength ratio, does not take a whole lot of strength when you weigh like 50lbs. No egos will be bruised lol. However you could MAYBE bruise an ego or two if you compare them to Rory van ulft, 9 year old girl, crazy strong. Deadlifts (253lbs) almost 4x her own body weight.
@Nooraksi
@Nooraksi 2 жыл бұрын
@@catharinaventer1232 nooooo.... it's all about training, not weight (mostly)... The reason why this kids can hand so long is because of the training they do! Most bodybuilders don't do a wrist, forearm training, hell they don't even work out hips!!!! Thats why they can't hang, if you will train your wrists or any other muscle or do a rock climbling then it naturally will get stronger, effecting things like Dead Hang, Pull Ups and Push ups.... Thats the only explanation why some kids did 3 minutes and others did 12 minutes, they both weighted nothing! The reason is one kid did more rock climbing then the other
