I remember watching it at the time on Sportsnight. It didn't seem unusual at the time.

As a Luton fan that listened to that on the radio back in the day because I couldn't get a ticket... 89 at the Old Den we lost 3-2 in the FA Cup. Happy to say that we have enjoyed our visits to the New Den, 1996 Ceri Hughes and 2021 a lovely double from Cornick. A recent 0-0 draw between 2 well matched sides. Respect each other coz it's only a game

Could have been a disaster like Hillsborough if we hadn't gone over the fence. On the plus side we caused a million pounds worth of improvements to Luton 😉

We as in most London clubs 😂😂😂
@jpberm-on-sea Жыл бұрын
@@Frankie-ds3pq another myth. Do you really think wall would have had other firms like West Ham, Spurs and Chelsea with them!? Wouldn't happen in a million years 😂 be too much temptation to kick off with them instead. There were people there who supported other clubs, I'm not denying that, but they were blokes who drank in same pubs as wall, mates who came along for the ride because they knew it would be carnage. Big firms from other clubs wouldn't have been suffered

@@Frankie-ds3pq ignore Bob lol He's upset a lot of people with that podcast. If you're gonna brake the rules at least tell the truth. Luton was our biggest game in years, we had a decent team at the time, plus it was pay on the door and not that far away so everyone came out of the woodwork

The game got a lot of notoriety because of the scenes after the match and being shown on the BBC but that was nothing compared to Brum v Leeds where thousands were a involved & i mean thousands not a few hundred from both sides before, during and after the game.
@seanknapton74494 күн бұрын
Was at that game with the Leeds lads,we all climbed over the fence and got into the seats down the side of the ground,also everybody stopped ripping seats out to witness the Bradford fire,which was on TV in the executive lounge at the back of where all the Leeds lads were
