I remember i rented this game from a Hollywood video when i was younger and me and my brother beat it in like 4 hours lol. A fine enough sequel to nicktoons unite, but F- for only letting Timmy be playable for one level

Battle for volcano island was my absolute most favorite than the first one. I remember being 6 and getting it for Christmas in 2006 after my dad had went to GameStop and told me that he called it Nickelodeon instead of Nicktoons volcano game😅. Danny, Sam, Timmy and Sandy were the more useful ones while squidward and tucker disappears until they are needed😂. It was hilarious that Jimmy was being put as a sideline character being reached out from a exhibition communicator.

I really hope I don’t sound like I’m nitpicking, but I really wasn’t a fan of Veronica using r*t*rd so much in this one. Like in the episode featuring Sonny it was at least censored when it came up, but when I was trying to just listen to the podcast as background noise-I kept getting taken out of the experience when it’d come up

I used to play NIcktoons Unite a lot, but then my gamecube would always shut down on me when I reached the final boss. If THQ Nodric decides to remaster the game I'll definitely have my come back lol

This was a great episode! My only experience with this game is the gba version and I remember enjoying that one a ton! I would’ve freaked if I knew when I was younger that these were on Xbox

My earliest memory with sonic is when I was like 4 or 5 and my mom’s friend was babysitting me and she was cleaning stuff and I saw a copy of genesis collection and saw classic sonic on the cover and I literally said to her who’s this blue rat and she was surprised I didn’t know who he was and said I would like him for how fast he moved like a race car

I loved volcano island as a kid, but I think looking back on it it did have major flaws that even as a kid I didn’t like. > shorter game from the first. Can be done in like 2 hrs. > stuck as Danny and SpongeBob for the whole game > Timmy playable in 1 level > no upgrades and no unique abilities > Jimmy got shafted (but he was planned but unfortunately time constraints I’m guessing) I still think it’s atmospheric nature is the best though and great level design

26:35 ok this is the weirdest thing ever but basically, I got a megadrive from my grandad (also in Ireland) and one of the games was a CIB copy of Mickey castle of illusion?? What the hell are the odds of that? I think the megadrive was my auntie's or uncles but Him and my grandmother gave it to me

I never got too far with these games as a kid but revisited them later on. It was probably me being dumb but I totally saw these as being like Kingdom Hearts but Nickelodeon. Always thought it was cool to see Spongebob team up with Danny Trejo.

i thinka funny detail of this game's ports is that Altron (the japanese developers behind the ds port) just drew original enemies for each of the areas and THEN used the console enemies as bosses just because... i don't know why it stayed with me this information

Fun fact: Here in australia / new zealand these games titles actually slightly differed to the europe releases that called every nicktoons unite game "spongebob and friends" So in australia and new zealand each game is called: - Nicktoons Unite (like the US) - Spongebob & friends battle for volcano island (like europe) - Nicktoons Attack of the Toybots (back to the US title) - then finally globs of doom was universal So here the games titles flip flopped from nicktoons _ and spongebob & friends _ Just a weird ass fact lmao

I still own these Nicktoon crossover games, my parents would buy these games for Christmas because they knew how much I love these shows especially SpongeBob, they were really ambitious and really creative back in the early 2000’s and was really cool to see these characters interact with each other and stop an evil threat from taking over their worlds or on an Island. Does anyone know when THQNorics gonna remake the rest of these games? I really want them to bring back the Tak series.
