Oh god, I remember playing this game when I was little.

I loved this game as a kid, apparently I put way more time into than you though because I was obsessed with beating everything and unlocking all of it, down to all the "race for fun" items you could get for beating every track in one go there. So many weird quirks that still stick with me to today, there's so much more to go into. I was surprised you didn't end up talking about any glitches beyond the voice clip thing, because I always got so much of that. The main thing that would happen is on some tracks, some characters would just get stuck in the skybox, where no matter what you throw at them, they'll never come down. Happened especially on the Race Madness. A few other spots you could see that happen was behind the waterfall on the Safari track, I even got softlocked myself there. Plankton also could easily get stuck on the Gritty City stage when going for the bridge shortcut. That stage also had another weird glitch that would happen where after finishing the race, you'd continuously hit an out of bounds wall in the night town area forever. It would try placing you back down, and the computer would drive right back into it. Really weird, because I feel like that didn't happen until playing for years. The final stage had a lot of places CPUs could get stuck too, and they could also end up taking some of the massive shortcuts that should be out of reach, so sometimes losing there really isn't your fault. The worst one was in dam prix though, because in the relay mode, the second player's second character would be placed halfway into the wall on the left. Like the skybox trapping, you couldn't get them to leave. You could push them around a bit, and the best was putting them in the bubble item, and it would eventually grow to a massive size for some reason. It was really bizarre.

Hi, Great video. I actually made the Angry Beavers levels and half the carts many years ago. Fun fact. I didn't even know it had been converted to Arcade until a couple of years ago! Never seen it in the flesh.

I was able to get the game working and running on my Mac by downloading the game rom file. I'm 21 now, and I get to relive one of my childhood computer games. 😁

A local arcade had the cabinet it was my taste of the real deal because I only had the game boy advance port. By the way love the dance at the end!

I loved playing it at chuck e cheese. There's some new nickelodeon racing games out now on current consoles. The 1st one is bad but the 2nd one is good. There's no voice acting though or sound clips from the shows.

It's allot of people's first game as a kid. I only have it on ps1 emulator right now, but want it on physical disc now.

Nice review of this game! I just recently got this game for my PC and I had fun with it, despite the handling of the car not being enough for some of the turns. If the handling on the karts was tighter, I think the game would be much more enjoyable.

Firsty, Crispy Boy sent me. Second, i'll preach with the choir and say this is a really well put together review and i'm definitely subbing. Thirdly, IF I MAY BITCH. I played through the game again recently on ps1 since I also grew up with the game and the AI in that version is RUTHLESS. I have a lot of experience playing high level Mario Kart and Crash Team Racing, but even that didn't save me from how aggressive the rubber banding is despite memorizing all the tracks and using the drift as effectively as possible. It was only fun for me not because the actual game was fun but because I enjoyed the masochistic kart racing challenge. That said, when I got to hard mode I stopped because you have to place first place consistently while every AI gives you absolutely no personal space. I know this has to be an issue with the ps1 version since there was no way i'd ever have a large gap of distance from the other racers like I saw in this video, even on easy. So uh, yeah staying away from the ps1 version is definitely advised unless you hate sanity like I do.
