Clifford DID speak to Emily in the 1988 VHS series. I know, because I watched all six episodes on KZbin. Brent Titcomb was Clifford, and Alyson Court was Emily. She was the voice director in the 2019 Clifford reboot.

Back when I was a kid we played Arthur's birthday and jumpstart 1st grade on my dad's old laptop. I've been playing console games for like my whole life but there really is something special about old education PC games. School always had the best ones though. My favorite to play at school was gizmos and gadgets. It gets really repetitive but replaying the puzzles in it but it's fun for a while. Oh and by the way I got chibi robo at a GameStop many years ago full box with a manual for only $10. And yes it is super fun and one of my favorite games ever. Sorry Nintendo won't rerelease it for an appropriate price.
