4 Signs God Is Testing Your Faith

I failed the 3rd test last night. I just wanna share this because it might help someone. I am in my college dorm, in this phase of mine I am able to get to know the Lord God since I’m away from my family. So, my dorm mates are quite a fan of having fun and they are really like to play cards and sometimes it involves gambling sometimes not. So I always try my best not to participate and I struggle a lot to tell you it’s been 3 nights that they are playing cards and it involves money I tried my best I’m just laying on the bed watching masses and teachings from the divine mercy church shout out to Fr. Chris. I am constantly ask to join but I refuse to. But not until last night, I loved the food that my roomie brought and I am eating while they ask me to play with them. Honestly I have a back door, I am waiting for a mass online at the divine mercy church. I should have said that I’m going to watch a mass but I tell myself it’s not bad as long as there’s no gambling involved. I participated but not only I’m playing cards I’m also watching a brutal movie with them. It feels so wrong heat releases through my body but I just enjoyed playing cards and woke up next morning all sorrow for the Lord. I cried asking Him why can’t I just have a place where everything gonna reminds me of Him so I won’t be astray. The pressure is just too much and the pleasure from being accept by your peers is still hindering my faith. It hurts that when I am on that situation I didn’t even think of my Lord anymore and what He teaches me. To whoever reading this I hope you would pass your test. I hope you would find the strength and not be a coward. Amen.

Because he wants to give you every good thing that you’re asking for, but at the same time it has to also bring glory to God and the Kingdom. This past season God tested my faith - he led me to quit my high-paying job in tech; I was only working there for 4 months, and he made me feel so uncomfortable in that role and he led me to quit. I went through 7 months of no work, I read my bible more and focused on God. He blessed me with a new job a month ago and I have zero stress; it was everything I prayed for during that 7-month break. I know for a fact God's hand was on my life and he was testing my faith!

He told me to not work / look for a Jobb. It’s stressing many times, I have no place to live and had to go back to my moms house , I’m just making music and doing outreach, I love the Lord, I see he uses me even when I’m down because I’m willing, but it’s a hard time, my hardest time since I surrendered to God. Everything around me is closing and no doors opened, but he puts needing people in my way and that is so beautiful. Had this happen to me just last week or so. I was like: why is He not responding anymore? What did I do wrong? And then after a little while I remembered that I had that happen to me before and that it is just a test. Felt a lot better immediatley. And since then He is speaking to me again. Still a little distant. But not silent anymore. Praise Yah!

This made a lot of sense going through Sign 3 and it’s heavy. I have not been taking the way out consistently I have been struggling with a cigarette addiction and when I do have victory & keep my eyes on the Lord I feel so liberated and free and then I’ll give into a trigger and negative thought or emotion I lack self control & I’ll give in to the temptation I’ll go buy a pack & then throw the rest a way and this has been a spiral of insanity for me. Because I know better but then I operate different then I get filled with shame & then go back to buying another pack & the downward spiral continues. I know that I need to have Faith & totally trust God I know it with my whole heart and this has been hindering my completed freedom in him and blocking blessings in my life. Please pray for my strength to endure. 1 Corinthians 10:13 has been my life verse I have recited it out loud plenty of days. I need to take that way out despite how I feel. This is the ultimate test of my Faith. Thank you for this encouragement and reminder.

This video is helping me tonight. Past couple seasons have been really up and down in every direction. I believe stronger in my faith. God lead me into a dream sales job and I’m doing great. My car now needs major repairs and I rely on it. Very tight at the moment while I catch up on everything. Last year I would of fell apart angry at the universe but now I’m much more levelheaded. Let go and let God. I believe he’s testing my faith. I know the Lord has my back.

Okay, but God’s seriously trying to send me a message while I’m on my break studying for my exam next week, and this video is in my suggestions. I have a very unhealthy cycle of losing my motivation throughout the end of the semester, and I’m really praying that this doesn’t happen again. It negatively affects my exam scores, my stress levels, etc. I need to continue having my fire and faith for God, even in the quiet times when I need to put my head down to study. Thank you so much for this video. I know exactly what you mean about the feelings and sensations I had when I first became a Christian. All I wanted to do was talk about Jesus, it didn't matter to me what happened or what people thought of me I just felt God consuming me every moment. But as I guess my sanctification has gone on, I have had seasons, especially the last couple months that just I have been confused and depressed. And after a while I noticed that the temptations were like the nuclear warhead version of the things I loved to do before I started following Jesus. It's like in different seasons of this intense temptation my flesh was warring against me, and I kept praying and hearing nothing, asking God why he would allow me to go round and round and I felt like I was useless and stuck and even sometimes questioned, "God how can I glorify you like this?" My Pastor said that I may find that addiction is something that I may have to bear and endure throughout my whole life. The amazing thing is though that each time I fall I recover faster and turn back to the Lord much faster. I initially cried when you said that it is a blessing to be tested by the Lord. It gave me hope that maybe satan is just trying to trick me into thinking that I am stuck, worthless and unsaved because I struggle. TBH sometimes I still worry about that, but I know without a doubt, that God is good and whatever he allows will ultimately glorify him and be good for me. This video helped solidify that I can trust God and that he is not quiet because he doesn't love me. He is quiet because he DOES love me. Praise YHWH that he not only saves me but sanctifies me. So thank you for making this video. :)

This video is basically what I'm currently struggling with. I backslid about 6 months ago when my wife and I separated and just like u said when you first accepted the Lord into your heart and your life, before that happened with my wife I also felt Jesus was literally everywhere with me. I could be thinking about characters in the Bible or about God himself and He would reveal the answer almost instantly. I had never been so happy abiding in Christ and He with me. When I backslid I could feel the distance I put between us in sin. I'm struggling with lust at the moment and literally just remembered the scripture this morning praying where with the temptations God gives us a way out and then you just repeated it lol Praise the Lord. I need to remember that because I feel the enemy is working so hard right now to push us further way from our Creator/Father. When God feels distant, it just tests whether we are after "spiritual experiences and feelings" or after God Himself. It is also a reminder that we are dependent on God and His mercy, without Him we can do nothing. And it's (paradoxically) also a call to get closer to God, as well as a call to continue the life of repentance (for repenting is neverending progress on the earth). The more distant God feels, the more we should seek Him and cry for help. If we remain faithful without losing heart, we become stronger and more humble and more patient and many other good things. *_"Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God, until He is gracious to us"_* (Psalm 123:2).
