Unironically I think that PsyOps Kayle is one of Kayle's best skins, if not for the visual flair, then definitely for the sound effects of the skin. The waves, the Q, the level up sound, everything about it is really satisfying to me. But, I respect your opinion all the same Mr Nicholas J Boi, if that even is your real name.

I personally really love the VFX of all of the skins! But the champ choice really is a bit weird. I feel like PsyOps could be the skinline that brings SciFi/Modern Aesthetics to fantasy mages, like maybe Ryze or Karma. Mages cant really get a Project skin or smth like that so PsyOps could fill that! But besides Sona...they didnt...

Telekinetic powers are always seemed so cool to me ever since i discovered x-men. And i get excited when i see a telekinetic in a piece of media like Eleven or Vanya to name a few. So naturally i get excited when they announced this skinline. Well imagine my disappointment when i saw this skins. Like why master yi or zed or shen when you could have taliyah, syndra.

I actually think Viktor's is one of the best in the line. The vfx are really pronounced for his spells and I think it makes him look really slick. I was a little sad when all we got for his was lobster :(

I think the the target audience for PsyOps are the people that are big into Military/Sci-fi aesthetics because personally I adore these skins just for the simple fact that I love the military aesthetic and I think PsyOps is a good execution of mixing Sci-Fi and Military together when you just focus on the looks it perfectly nails mixing the sci-fi aesthetic together with the military aesthetic

Maybe its just wild rift made the ones in that one look really good with animation, maybe its just me loving the vibe, maybe... actually definatly because of amazing music theme but it just sticks with me more than usual futuristic skinlines

As a Viktor main I love PsyOps Viktor just because it still feels like it fits his base storyline as a mechanically-augmented human but he went further than his base skin. It’s my personal favorite Viktor skin so far although high noon is also pretty cool just doesn’t fit Viktor’s base lore nearly as well. Besides that I just think they look cool for the most part. I have PsyOps Pyke and while I like the W I almost always use Blood Moon instead, it does feel kind of boring compared to a lot of the other concepts save for a few exceptions.

I feel like psyops could be a really good fanfiction or anime series if they ignored the skins and actually did things with the lore. Like, the idea of soldiers with psychic abilities and cool military outfits with cutouts and armor that fight supernatural beings sounds badass as hell, but the skins just look so bad-except for Sona -that it's hard to love.

It really is a bit odd that for the PSYCHIC POWERS skins, they didn't seem to think about that aspect of it at all for most of these champs. Syndra would have been a great fit here, or Zoe, or Nocturne, or even Irelia since she at least isn't just holding her blades. And they don't already have this type of aesthetic in another skin like so many of these choices.

Actually, if use the toggle on Pyke’s dagger (on any skin) and turn it off then on again (or just double tap it) it causes his next auto attack to be his crit animation rather than his normal attack animation. Just a cool fun fact for ya.

Fun fact about Pyke's skin, the face cover is supposed to be basically a camo netting that breaks up the silhouette of your head and shoulders. Him being a champ all about swimming and underwater stuff, the netting is a reference to the Danish Jaeger Corps.

Personally I really like the modern military look that the PsyOps line brought us. Hell, I like it in Arctic Ops, and PsyOps just takes that skinline and bumps the VFX up to 11. I can definitely understand the criticisms for some of the champion choices or the implementation of the "psychic" aspect of the theme. However, I don't think psychic powers HAVE to be purely psychic like what we see from Sona. Plenty of sci-fi media have had psychic powers be inherently attached to technology or a channeling device (like a sword), so it's not like psychic powers have to be pure telekinesis. Overall I'd say it's a skinline primarily carried by its VFX (and Sona because hot damn), but it's a popcorn movie type of skinline. Why does Vi have bullet gauntlets? I don't know, but it looks cool so I'll turn off my brain and just enjoy it for what it is. It's far from my favorite skinline, but overall I'd give it a 6/10.

Not gonna lie, the toggle on Pyke's dagger has been bothering me for a while. Most of his new skins dont have a second form for the dagger and just do the weird flash and that makes me sad. The dagger transforms from the first into the second state automatically at 1:05 in-game time btw.

The one good thing about PsyOps Yi is that his double strike animation is different to other epic skins, it does a side slash then an overhead downward slash rather than the quick left-right like every other non-legendary

as someone who very much likes modern to semi-futuristic military I feel like if they leaned more into military with light psychic, instead of the mess we currently have, it might work better and have more of a place as the call of duty skins. But right now biggest problem with these skins is that excluding samira and sona they all already have better skins for the scifi future soldier shit (with half of them having project skins).

Yea I'd have to agree that PsyOps Sona is definitely the best of the skin line. Personally I wish she kept that look of being completely covered in cybernetics since it has such a distinct style to it that fits the concept really well, like her entire body is useless except her head because all she needs is her mind. That fantasy is ruined with the second form she gets. Kind of crazy how this skin line has a bunch of psionic super soldiers but they never do anything that feels especially psychic. Like, couldn't they have at least gave Master Yi a sword that he creates with his mind or something (kinda like what the Lantern Corps from DC can do)?

The idea was really interesting to me, kind of unique, idk i was hooked and the particle effects (while they are really similar to eachother) were cool. But thats where my compliments end. While the base design/idea to me is cool, they are all missing cohesive elements and logic. Why does Vi have so many bullets? They could have made Gun-Gauntlets that make explosive punches while her ult is her using psy powers. My thought when i first saw the skinline was that it is Psy-enhanced soldiers, so it would be a cool mix of warfare weaponry and tech and Psy powers, but it ended up being just futuristic soldiers with magic effects slapped everywhere, even when its not needed or it doesn't make sense. Why should samiras bulet be psy-enhanced, it's a bullet, it's deadly on its own.

Oh to be her VA and get paid to say that. It's also her only skin where other people can hear her voice because mind powers and such, which is a neat detail

( an elite team of assassin sent out to kill psychic users)It would make more sense with them using more conventional weapons to counter them down and would allow more storytelling with sona being one of the psychic users being force to fight against her kind.

Being a VI Mainer I was DEEPLY disappointed, when the psy-ops came out, like literally, she even fails to resemble Bakugo from My Hero Academy, when it’s obvious she’s trying to. Like, she had NO good skins since PROJECT one (don’t count Arcane one, it’s a promo) and more so, she doesn’t have much at that point (the three-in-a-row demon-kingdoms-project, to be precise). And also, she didn’t receive any changes since season 9 (except for the bug fixes she received ONLY because of Arcane, trust me, if it wasn’t the series, she would still be forgotten), which disappoints me even more. Like, cmon, give my girl some love, would’ja?
