A statistic that gives some measure of the universality of this song. . .the official video of this song to date has over 619 million views. . .an almost Beatles like number. Not bad for two former neighborhood rappers of Oslo, Norway who learned how to sing in perfect English, a fact in itself that is a testament to their supremely talented capabilities as artists who never fail to deliver powerfully meaningful messages in every one of their songs. Through your show, Philip, I hope to help bring those virtually unknown songs to the world. This stuff is just too good to keep to yourself!

Just two days ago Nico and Vinz announced an April 2024 tour of Norway. They're calling it the "10th Anniversary of 'Am I Wrong' tour." I am so glad to hear they will be touring again! I will miss this one, but if they announce another spring Norway tour in '25, I'm there! We can see the magic between Nico and Vinz and the people of Norway! Absolute magic. This is bucket list stuff for me. I definitely want to see Nico and Vinz live at least one time in my life!

This program never gets old! So amazing what these two from such humble backgrounds in Norway were able to achieve here.

The musical quasar that was the Norwegian group Envy (band name changed to Nico and Vinz in 2014) at the 2013 Nobel Peace Prize Concert. One of the great musical events of the 21rst century.

Truly a once in a lifetime performance, and, as you say Philip, you can only wish you were fortunate enough to be their to watch the then red-hot Norwegian sensation then known as Envy (later to become Nico and Vinz) absolutely blowing away the assembled crowd on the Norwegian national stage that is the Nobel Peace Prize concert, with the Crown Prince of Norway in attendance. So amazing to witness the absolute musical rapture of the crowd with Nico and Vinz at the absolute height of their performing power with performing their greatest song, "Am I Wrong" live, a song and performance which will be remembered throughout time.

This song marks the emergence of Vinz Dery as a full fledged vocalist. Previously he was a very musical rapper, but not really a singer. Nico Sereba was the main vocalist on those early Envy songs, like "One Song" and "Everywhere" by Envy. Impressive that he sang this song this well and didn't really believe he could sing. Then Nico took on Valerie Morehouse as his singing coach. Vinz was a little skeptical at first, but decided to join his friend and writing partner by also working with Valeri. She and they have developed this music of these amazing emerging vocalists. Nobody does what Nico and Vinz do in the music space-they really stand out from today's music world.

This "crie de cour" (cry from the heart) by Vinz Dery's vocals are about him as a rapper daring to believe he could sing. He explodes to life as an amazing vocalist in this specific song, which I would also put as the true birth of Nico and Vinz. Interestingly enough, they were still Envy when they released this song. In fact, if you look at the credits at the beginning of the program, you'll see it's credited to Envy.

The genius of this program, Philip, is that I sent you a different version, but you went for this version instead. Will always be grateful you made that decision-upon reflection, it was the right move.

You blew me out of the water with this one, Philip! Have to commend you, there are many live versions of this song they've recorded, all wonderful in their own way, but this live performance here is likely the most magnficent of all of their live performances of this song. Massive impact from this program! Just to give you an idea of how massive this song is, this simple statistic: 619 million views on the official video of this song. This song will play on down through the ages.

The quality of your take on the song is such that I am drawn in each time to listen all the way to the end. Great program; most memorable!

You surprised me here, Phil! But your pick is excellent! This is indeed a historic live performance given by the then band name Envy, but within a few months they would change the name to Nico and Vinz. Truly an amazing concert; you really get a sense of how the Norwegian people interact with them; it's magical. Thanks for this reaction! Really nice to come home to!!!

The people of Norway love these guys. They are their musical royalty and their favorite sons.

This program really is your achievement, Philip. I think of that as I watch again. I had sent you an alternative performance, and you, on your initiative, selected this performance. It was the right choice and surprised the hell out of me, to my personal delight! Your instinct has been pretty much spot on throughout the series to follow on these guys to date.

Did you happen to catch the Crown Prince of Norway, the gentleman with the beard and suit, up and clapping with the crowd?

It's fascinating when they were on Valerie Morehouse's program, Vinz believed he screwed up the vocals at the end of the song. "I thought it sucked.". Nico, sitting right beside him says "I doubt it was as bad as he was making it out to be. Vinz thought they were using some sort of autotune on his voice, but Valerie pointed out there was no such technology in 2013. That is the documented singing of one Vinz Dery. You can decide for yourself if his singing was as terrible as he thought it was at the end of the song.

Vinz Dery in a 2019 interview believed he had messed up his delivery on the second part. He thought that he had hollered himself hoarse running through the crowd. Nico responded immediately "I doubt it was nearly as bad as he thought it was". I listen to the second part, and I don't detect any falling off in Vinz's delivery in that part of the song.

What do you think, Philip? Did Vinz screw up his vocal delivery at the end of the song? I don't hear it myself. In fact, it sounds very beautiful and inspired.
