SallytheSeaHorse: I believe I read the same interview with Twiggy regarding Edie. Edie mentioned later that Twiggy was wearing an outfit similar to one she wore...two years earlier. Twiggy was pretty, but I think Edie was more attractive and definitely more innovative in her style. Such a loss so died so young.

@ shortii2nv - I remember reading somewhere before how Twiggy met Edie once and commented that she seemed very "lost" and messed-up at the time. Edie may have been a little worse for wear due to pernicious and persistent drug abuse.. I would have liked to have met Edie when she was a teenager and when she was attending art college in Boston (?) - before she got into the whole druggy Factory scene in NYC. I think she was used&discarded by a lot of exploitative people. Sure, she was needy, but..

Nico seems so beautiful and mysterious. I didn’t know much about her. I’ve read that she was a violent racist and “Nazi-esque”. In the restaurant at the Chelsea Hotel in the early 70s, Nico said 'I hate black people,' and smashed a wineglass on the table and stuck it in the eye of a beautiful mixed-race singer. This according to an article in The Guardian. It’s hard to imagine Warhol and others choosing to be around someone like that.

Drugs and plenty of them fueled this crowd and ate away at their insecurities while they appeared to have fun while self destructing. Nico still rules the galaxy regardless of what Lou Reed has said. Laurie Anderson may have been the only person he treated kindly.

+ +Miapink12, I think you'd want to know Edie's one miscarriage was a lie, as she had a one night stand with Jim Morrison, and to protect their daughter from Edie's father she gave her up for adoption. She has recently been found, due to one of Jim's son's last wishes finding his sister, Her DNA was 99.8 and is in a safe, for safety reasons. Warhol abused Edie so bad, drained her money, also Dylan abused Edie as well as she's learned. Amazing tribute, strangely enough, the girl knew Ray, who told her Jim didn't want children because he wanted to keep his daughter, from that moment on he didn't want children Ray told her. Ray had no idea it was her Ray was speaking to Jim's daughter, as well as Davey Jones from the Monkeys and was in the arts as well. This is also a fact she called Davey dad one and referred to Ray as dad two. Ray was the only one Jim trusted knowing about his daughter, she can be found on Facebook and her friends are starting a privet page for both bio parents. She's like them both minutes the drugs, drinking and eating disorders. I believe you'll find her extremly nice accessible, When she is on her page ( as ppl are running it now) she will speak to fans of her iconic parents. Also, she was adopted into a family of artists and jewelry, as well as her first name was changed, she's named after her aunt who is a famous artist. Good luck getting on her personal page. I find her to be an amazing kind of humanitarian passion for art and so much more.
