I always thought why Nico Mannion falls into the second round when in the first half of the season on the mock draft he was a top-10 player draft pick. Nico Mannion has handles, shooting, and athleticism for a decent PG. He just needs to be matured on his role next season. He will be the 3rd stringer or situational PG like the way the Warriors used Leandro Barbosa, Ian Clark and Quinn Cook. I believe he will improve next season because he participated Olympics and representing his country, Italy. The fact that he was one of the youngest on their roster and the second leading scorer on their team. Check him out!

@@jrexlegaspi why did u throw Wiggins and klay in there? U realize their both plus defenders right? Klay is literally 1 of the leagues best perimeter defenders and Wiggins iplayed NBA all Defense team quality D last year. It's why they call him 2 way Wiggs. Obviously any of u pointing to defense as the reason he fell in the draft are clueless. He fell because of his poor shooting percentages. This is because he was the #1 option as a freshman, and took tons of contested stepback 3s. In GS he can focus on driving and kicking and creating for teammates, he has Poole, Porter and bjelica to open up driving lanes, and his efficiency should go up with all the experience hes had since then. Hes in the perfect situation to grow and learn.

Any freshman player would be elated to be in an organization that enables the development of its rookies and encourages their veterans to lead. It is then no surprise why Mannion did not get much playing time. The competition on the Warriors for minutes and role-players is high, but it speaks volumes that he was picked up in the first place. The ginger has potential.

Former Golden State Warriors guard Nico Mannion has reportedly made a full recovery from a severe intestinal infection contracted overseas, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic. Mannion first started experiencing the health issue with the Italian national team during the Tokyo Olympics. Basically, he suffered some disease that's really deadly so he wasn't able to play. When he recovered, the season already started and he decided to play for Italy. Like the warriors this season, that team also won the championship in Europe.

Textbook example of a guy who should have stayed in school a couple more years. A lot of guys nowadays buy into hype that isn't realistic and think they can just jump into the nba. Reality for Mannion was that he was a bubble prospect which is why he dropped to 48th in the draft. If you go that low, a team will not feel they have an investment in you and not give you the development time you need. If he had stayed in school he would have played himself into the lottery, or at least a high first round pick guy. The extra experience and commitment from a team that spent a high pick on him could have been the difference in establishing himself into the nba. His international play has made him a better player but in the nba it's always the new next big thing that gets fans and teams excited, a guy that wasn't guite good enough will always have that aura of yesterdays news, even if he's good enough now.

Idc why Steve Kerr kept using Wanamaker instead of him when Brad was clearly bad and playing him was useless as this was a season of development for them since Klay got injured again. Steve Kerr never let Wiseman play through mistakes and mostly used Nico only on garbage times as well and those kind of hindered their important rookie season since they're supposed to be key pieces in 2022 going forward. Look at Ant and LaMelo, they look and play like they're one with the league now since their coaches let them play through ups and downs, Steve Kerr did a horrible job this season.

Him and Bol Bol are two biggest victims of how basketball is now. They get hyped up their whole lives as locks for the NBA. While kids still in high school, they'll have these greedy KZbin shows follow them around everywhere, kissing their asses and telling them how great they are and they could go straight to the league from high school. Then they don't even accomplish anything in college but still declare after 1 year cus they believe they are Top 2 pick. Getting drafted in the 2nd round was probably a reality check for these 2. And now Nico is only known for making Steph Curry laugh. Poor guys, I hope they can turn it around, especially since all the parasites are gone, they have no pressure anymore
