As far as I understand, NicoNicoDouga (roughly the Japanese equivalent of KZbin, though that site might be defunct by now because KZbin is basically fully worldwide now) would create a big music video that encapsulated that year: the memes, the popular shows, the favorite songs... it's always a better Rewind than KZbin Rewind was even when it didn't suck. While I'm sure the people singing it were probably big on NND, it's mostly just a fun collaborative effort by all of them to make these into fun songs. As for what Kikouroku means... without looking it up I can only guess that it's six of something. One of the years was called Nanairo no Nico Nico Douga which is easier: 7 Colors of Nico Nico Douga. So six Kikou, whatever that is, lol.
