Totk and FF16 releasing so close together, and RainCode shortly releasing after. This is the sequel to that. Poor Nico’s going to wind up with P3Re and FF7Rebirth this February, but he won’t get them finished in time for Unicorn Overlord in March (I say this jokingly)

It’s honestly such a nice feeling having a fairly short build up to release. We learned about the game coming out last year and it’s already releasing in 5 months. What a stark contrast to having FF7 Remake announced in 2015 and then releasing in 2020.

I want to point out the following: About the FF 7 Rebirth trailer I theorize that the hooded man in Rufus's military parade (near the end of the trailer), is none other than Glenn from Ever Crisis. I also think that the character with moustache that is shown after Andrea is Dio, the man in charge of Gold Saucer's minigames.

This might be a stupid detail, but: in the flashback section with Sephiroth, Cloud doesn't have his modified Soldier equipment, but just a generic one (he has both shoulderpads on). Could be just a design choice but worth nothing.

More details got revealed in the newest article on PlayStation blog, the TGS showcase and other interviews: - 100 hours of gameplay. - The climax of this game will include The Forgotten Capital, but no Wutai until part 3. - You will "control sephiroth in the same part as the original game". - Not all party members will be playable until part 3 (like Cid and Vincent), but those that you can not control will be companion characters like Red XIII was in part 1. (This problaly hints that Cid will be a guest character like Red was in Remake). - No save data transfer, but you get Leviathan for Remake and Ramuh for Intermission episode save data. - No Wutai until game 3, but there seems to be Wutai outposts of resistance / immigrants. The chocobo climbing the rock wall may be specific. If u look closly you can see orange arrows on the cliff itself, so that could be a sign of climable

I'm excited for the Arise DLC. Not a single stupid Harem Protagonist in sight, and hopefully, it's better than Zestiria's DLC. And hey, look at that, Nico managed to get through a segment about a Tales game without feeling the need to call the series generic. *CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!*

One thing i would love to see is a sapphire weapon fight, there are no boss fights during the escape from Junon (2nd time there), so it would be awesome near when u escape for sapphire to rise up and u fight him “BUT” he is heavily damaged from the cannon so hes not at “superboss” capabilities. Then later Chadly gives u a VR fight against Sapphire non-damaged as an optional superboss, due to shinra examining its remains after its fully dead

I gotta say this though…. As much as I love FF16 and its story, i think i was missing the quirkiness of FF7. Where FF16 is sooo serious all the time, FF7R takes a break or two and just have fun like the mini games, the funny banter and all that.

They can just put Sonon's move set to Cid, also that summon between Alex and odin is Kjata the wild boar from og ffvii, also about Zack for no doubt he is alive in the current timeline he even saw Kyrie, also that doctor I think is from Mideel I can't believe we can go there early before the meteor summoning from the OG game 👍.

My theory is the converging timelines already happened at the end of Remake. I've always had a weird feeling about Aerith stopping Cloud from entering the portal Sepiroth created in the Whispernado. That was purple, and then she turned it white after saying "this is the point of no return". Then shaking her head like she made up her mind on something. Which is als after a convenient cut scene of Zack starting his final fateful fight. Who had barely any reference till this point. Cause in the start of the Rebirth trailer, Zack holding a still unconscious Cloud, looking up at a missing plate. He's cleaned up and Elmyra is behind him so thats after he went to the church. So maybe that sets him on his own adventure to chase after everyone. So possibly the dead cast we see in the first trailer isn't actually them dead, but maybe unconscious like Zacks Cloud, while OG timeline is occupying Zacks timeline? Cause Cloud was absent from that sequence. Too early to tell, but fun to think about. I can't wait, some of the hype for me is the what ifs. Like what if the title Rebirth, literally means the Rebirth of Zack?

From what we seen it looks pretty damn open. I feel the fact that remake was also on PS4 held the game back immensely with how vast they could make it with what they were going for. You can even tell with the gameplay being a lil clunky at times, and the vast amount of invisible “loading screens”
