Is it possible to beat the SECRET LEVELS in Super Mario 3D Land without touching a single coin?

A couple of weeks ago, we tried to complete Super Mario 3D Land for the Nintendo 3DS without touching a single coin. Now, I won't spoil the outcome, but in this game, after we beat Bowser, we unlock 8 Special Worlds featuring tons of new levels! Sadly, those levels contain coins! So can we avoid them all? The reason that level is broken is, if you look at the left of the screen you can see the dandelions where you came from “explode” and you’re probably getting the coin that way.

Actually, there’s one mystery house that will actually give you a P wing. However, it’s surrounded by a bunch of tanookis which will give you coins if you already have two power ups on you.

I really like these Mario challenges that have been popping up lately. It's really interesting to play a game with certain restrictions, y'know? I also really like how you dove into some retro Mario games for your coinless videos. Playing an older game coinless must be much harder because of the lack of movement options. The question you asked (5:10) intrigued me, so I booted up my 3ds for the first time in months to answer your question. For some reason, those dandelion things are treated like enemies when you touch the flagpole. They disappear. Why is there only one then? My theory: There is some sort of code in the game files that goes a little like dis: If dandelion? Then disappear. If coin in dandelion? Then collect it. There is a coin in one of the dandelions.

for that level you're confused with, possible or not, you can see the little flower circle things pop in the corner, giving you a coin probably because they were in the area. hope it helps.

The goal is not to touch coins. When you get coins from the timer and the flag, you don't touch them. Then you don't have to wait for less than 10 seconds on the clock and do not have to grab the top. You also don't have to skip the level with the "Mystery Coin". You also don't touch the coins from cosmic clones.

Hey Nico, in the one where you always get 1 coin when you finish is possible, you gotta burn the flowers at the pipes

The coin from 2-2 at the flagpole it was because 1 coin was in the white/yellow "bush" thing that why you get a coin. Tip: You can see that all the white/yellow bushes fade away after completing the level.
