The first piece is actually the second movement from Vivaldi's concerto for violin and strings RV 583. Not RV 114.

She eventually recorded the RV 583 on "Baroque." One of her very best CDs! I really hope she continues revisit and record baroque throughout her career....she seems to have a special connection with the energy of that music. And I think the Gariel sounds absolutely beautiful with that setup. [Correction: only the Andante, as played here, not the entire concerto]

The violin has a kind of dry sound here, which I like very much! Is it the baroque bow that gives it that sound?

I'm learning RV 583 and his rendition has been my guide! Nicola playing the second movement is the only video I can find of any part of this piece though.

@@rapperslashactor Yes. it amazes me that this piece seems to have only been recorded by these two and this is the only video. Actually, I think that there are full concert recording of Giuliano Carmignola where he plays it. I just can't find it again - he has a lot of recorded concerts. His recorded version is stunning.

The labeling of the pieces is completly wrong. First piece is second movement of rv 583, second piece is the cadenza of rv 208a (Grosso mogul), third movement, as she said and not rv 212a!

Sungha 0019 it’s a baroque bow. It is designed to curve out when tightened.

Strange way of playing. She may using baroque bow and baroque setup violin but her playing style is still essentially modern, so it sounds rather weird, almost like country/jazz music at times ?! And not because she is using full heavy vibrato at times but the phrasing/weight of bowing is not kosher Baroque.
