Nicola Sturgeon’s hopes of leading Scotland to independence came to an abrupt end after her radical approach to transgender rights cost her the support of her party.
The Scottish First Minister unexpectedly announced her resignation as she admitted she had become a polarising figure.
Ms Sturgeon said she was no longer capable of increasing support for independence. Her plans to change the law on gender self-identification are now set to be ditched by the SNP, The Telegraph understands.

The fact that all the left leaning parties go down this route in search of votes ( in the same way right leaning go Trumpian) has caused the problem, they can't change course now. Anyone thinking the Labour party won't do something similar is naive in itself. We have just passed similar legislation here in Spain on the back of terrible domestic violence legislation which is reducing sentences of rapists up and down the country.

Camilla, She had a largely compliant media who clearly overlooked her manifest failings right across the board. Her record in Office was appalling and should have been sacked a long time ago by the electorate. She had three public enquires probing her behaviour and none gave her a clean sheet, indeed the final report had 1200 words redacted and didn't come to a conclusion allowing Sturgeon to claim innocence and then for the electorate to re-elect her with an increased majority. That's not normal.

i am irish and live in scotland and even the irish are not as horrible to the english as i have seen and heard here, especially my father in law when he discovered i was a protestant but hey ho ...we worked it out (he always had photo of him and the queen on his sideboard).
