I’ve listened to hundreds of thousands of hours of various genres of music and this stuff still hits me the closet to home. Growing up in the 2000’s this style was still around but in small forms and having the chance to hear some of this now that I’m 28 years old is a treat to my ears . I don't want to be a party pooper, just wanted to point out a fun fact that you're roughly only 250k hours old. So listening to hundreds of thousands of hours is basically impossible xD Unless you lied your age and are acutally a vampire, who knows 🤷 Jokes and facts aside, even tho I ain't a fan of rap music, but the 90's stuff is just too good not to like it. It's real, guys don't boast about having bitches, money and cars. No neon braided kids shouting skrrrt every two seconds. Real problems, real life. Got to respect that. I also blame(thank) GTA San Andreas with the bomb radio tracks, and I bet you can relate since we're roughly the same age.

@@polifonikastudio I’d start with Piñata by Freddie Gibbs. Probably the best project released released within the last 10 years or so. But if you’re looking for stuff that has dropped this year, there’s been a ton of great projects: Manger on McNichols by Boldy James Pray for Haiti by Mach-Hommy Alfredo by Freddie Gibbs Pray for Paris by Westside Gunn

They don't make rap this good and smooth anymore. Now it's mumbling and showing riches instead of being relatable to life

You're an idiot. There's literally a renaissance occurring in the underground hip-hop scene using the 90s style.
