Damn. His paychecks really took a nose dive over the past 5 or 10 years. I know he mostly does indie films now but still. Hard to believe even if he isn't in his prime earning era anymore. Enjoyed the vid as usual.

Frozen Ground is a great story...I'd say half of his bombs (red movies) are actually good.

Agreed! Pig is interesting and The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent is actually pretty good!

How can you call so many movies that made their money back "flops"? And you call movies that made double their budgets "bland". I doubt the investors thought that doubling their investments was "bland"! When you just listed the dollar amounts and let us determine for ourselves if the movies were hits or not, it was interesting. This isn't interesting. 🤨

Thank you for bringing this up, @latebloomerabroad! A movie actually needs to earn at least twice its budget to break even, as box office revenue is shared between the studio and cinemas. My labels reflect this.

Whether he likes it or not, being a Coppola really helped him continue to get projects, despite the very dismal performances of his later films. There really is nepotism in showbiz in the US.
