Hello Nicolas. I recently discovered your videos. I enjoy them very much and I love that you’re showing us some of your favorite interior books. I love collecting those as well. Do you have Barbra Streisand /My passion for design? It’s wonderful! If you haven’t seen it, I encourage you to check it out . I know you’d love it. I never knew she had such an eye for design and collected so many wonderful antiques. Her home is amazing. *I the got the book after watching her talking about it on Oprah- years ago! Haha! Thank you for sharing your ideas and interior style with us. All the best! -Carmen (from Alaska) =)

Excellent. Really looking forward to seeing the design previews for your homeware collection. Ideas for future vlogs - to vary afternoon tea a bit - so you do not serve the same every time, recipe for orange scented scones without fruit. How about making strawberry conserve or jam - as we will soon be in strawberry season. How to take and grow a plant cutting. Of course, I am looking forward to all the vlogs outside and around Edinburgh, but you will not always want to be outside.

I’m not always a big commenter, but I felt it necessary and proper today. It goes without saying how much you are enjoyed, thoroughly. When you said you had a big announcement, I figured it was something to join, financially. Then you ventured forth with how you were adding a video.. I waited for it.. the cost.. and then you said, it was to lift our spirits and get us through the hump of midweek. That’s when I new.. you are a class act.. and a giver, not just a taker. Someone that does for the joy it brings in being appreciated. I think our numbers are dwindling.. you give me great hope, and I thank you for it. You are a beauty, in all aspects.

So wonderful, as always. Books have always been my best friends since I was young and they were my form of escape from a very unhappy household and school life. They've remained my best friends and I built up quite a library of over 600 books at one time. Unfortunately, I have sold many of them, I'm down to about a hundred and fifty of my favorites. I have found many signed and inscribed first editions in thrift shops for one or two dollars, including ones signed and inscribed by Erte, Jose Quintero, Mercedes D A'costa, Armistead Maupin, and many others. Whenever I've moved, my books always were shipped with me. Anyway, another wonderful episode, all of which I'm enjoying so much.

I enjoyed this most of all your blogs. I am an older person in a large Victorian house built in 1900 gothic style . We have lived here for 40 years. Both house and garden are my joy. I have both what would be now called vintage, curtains , cushions etc mainly Colfax and Fowler and William Morris. They are my favourites .i think the best way of designing your home is to think of what you love rather than follow designers.

Hi Nicky, I love your channel and I have a sweet little story for you. I'm German but I've loved classical English interior style for a long time. Many years ago when my now husband was my new boyfriend we went shopping for Christmas presents. At a book store with a large foreign book section in Cologne I fell madly in love with the book by Roger Banks-Pye. Although it was out of his budget my boyfriend bought it for me and I perused this book hundreds of times... Fast forward 26 years, I happen upon your KZbin channel and I so enjoy your videos and your beautiful home! When I saw today's caption I said to myself I bet that Nicky has the Roger Banks-Pye book in this video. I don't know what made me so sure, maybe the loving little arrangements you create around your flat? I'm so happy I found your channel, keep creating beautiful and inspirational videos please! If you’re ever in Southern California I highly recommend a visit to the Huntington Library, Museum, and Botanical Gardens. It is the estate of Henry Huntington who made his fortune building railroads in the area over 100 years ago. Over the years he purchased works of art, manuscripts, and other artifacts from the declining English aristocracy at the time. And there is little doubt you haven’t seen the gardens before. Being near Los Angeles the gardens have been used in many films and television shows. A wonderful place my boyfriend and I love going to (and coincidentally the location of our first date!)

As much as I’ve evidently made you all so excited I hate being the bearer of some bad news. The Tea Room is currently closed for renovations. They plan to upgrade the indoor dining space and modernize the kitchen, develop new restrooms, and create a pavilion on the eastern side which would open up to the Shakespeare Garden for exterior dining. It plans to reopen in 2022 but I do not know when. Assumably by the summer season but I don’t know how they can be so quick.

When I started watching your videos, I realized how many beautiful things I have hidden in my cabinets...I started using that China on a daily basis. My mom thinks I am a changed person with more attitude towards nice things in life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Love your videos. Keep bringing joy, inspiration and love to all our houses.

Nicolas even though I am vision impaired and have been unable to browse through a book for a long time I thoroughly enjoyed this journey through your favourite books with you 😘 as a suggestion for future videos maybe you could explain different styles of furniture such as Chippendale Queen Anne etc
