I think the Smurf had already been decapitated..up on Tower hill probably.. dumped into the river by the Brutal Tudor Smurfs.. with his head which was caught in a little blue basket.. the basket has probably long rotted away.....

Hi Sean! this made me laugh. I think. you are right. He was probably a treasonous smurf judging by the book that he was holding. Probably imprisoned in the Tower of London for a spell. And yes, I believe what I thought was a head was a snail. xx

I work as a locomotive composite mechanic in the U.S. and have seen many lead seals on certified electrical components. One of the certified components is call a ground relay which are also used on ships and tugboats. The ground relays seals are often stamped simply GR. These seals are usually 3/8ths of an in diameter.

Thanks Nicola. My daughter has been ill but is recovering well. Only people needing hospital are tested here. Doctor just says stay home and treat symptoms like any other flu unless breathing is difficult or have chest pain. I'm a retired nurse and herbalist. So she is bouncing back nicely. Take care.

Awesome! Don't tell anyone, but I watched the Smurfs with my little brother and my cousin Jennifer late 80s, early 90s! They were little kids and had control of the TV. I had to watch those silly Ninja Turtles too! 1600s is fascinating period for England and America! Congrats on the token. I wish I could visit 1620s Virginia. I hope you find a whole unbroken onion bottle.

Thanks Dustin! I watched the smurfs too and the ninja turtles. I also have a collection of the turtles here in my studio. The plastic toys I have here are something else. Yes, 1600s if fascinating and I don't often find artefacts from that era. I'll be taking that token to the museum of london when it's open again! x
