As a Belgian, i know very well we had multiple terrible entries that deserved last place, but this is not one of them. This performance was, and is, legendary, even young people know the 'purple suits', and nicole and hugo are still very popular, over the language borders and with all age groups. They are true legends here.

This song was too good to end in last place. Iconic and legendary, something that wasn't seen on a Eurovision in that time. I love their song, their performance, choreography, their purple outfits. One of the best songs from Belgium ever. RIP Nicole, you will be always remembered! 🖤💛❤️ FUN FACT 1: Claude Lombard who represented Belgium at Eurovision 1968 was a backing vocal for Nicole and Hugo. FUN FACT 2: Nicole and Hugo were chosen to represent Belgium at Eurovision 1971 with the song 'Goeiemorgen morgen' but due to Nicole's illness they weren't able to travel in Dublin. FUN FACT 3: In 2004, they tried again, after 29 years, at the Eurovision Song Contest. They entered the Flemish pre-selections, with "Love is all Around". They placed second in the first round, but scored lowly with the jury, so failed to make it to the final round.

Also they had already an Eurovision song named 'goeiemorgen morgen' in 1971. But they were sick, so Lily Castel and Jacques Raymond did sing it on Eurovision. That song went viral in Ukraine a month ago as protest against Russian invasion. The song title has another less polite meaning when spoken in Ukrainian or Russian apparently.
