The sneer of Mahmood, one side of his mouth well up like a snarling dog, when questioned by Gabe says SO MUCH! Clearly incensed by very valid questions, which likely were to bring to the fore Mahmood's attitudes for Nicole's benefit, as SHE is in denial. I think Nicole's husband --stated with suddering disbelief-- DID arrive in America. May she survive and may he LEAVE, the country, and her, ALONE. Move back to antiquity, VERY SOON, if he hasn't yet. Nicole can do without such and angry and petulant child. Nicole is so in denial and "in love with what she percieves as love," may wake and wonder, "why wasn't I warned?" Then, maybe, understand she had NOT been fathoming reality and acting appropriately. His manifest anger is very scary. This is an abusive guy and women, with the view, in guise of protection, are to be, ultimately, controlled. Women are conditioned to believe "If only they love enough" and THEIR "deficiencies" are root cause of trouble. All lies and seems, now, maybe some hope for Nicole. She's been duped. She states she's firm in non-compliance. Fingers crossed for her safety, physical and emotional.

@@uok6216 I’m Somali and grew up muslim but no longer am. This idea that your husband should allow you to be your own free woman/spirit is bs in every regard when it comes to Islam. I grew up in a world where wives have to ask their husbands permission before they leave the home and if he says no, they cannot go or else angels curse them. Saying “no” to intimacy with your husband results in the angels cursing you and being covered is a must. If you would like me to site the hadiths and surah verses i’ll be more than happy to buy Mahmoud’s behavior is well within reason in Islam. Now, should Nicole stick around and try to change his mind? No, I think she should go where she’s welcome rather than try to change people but Mahmoud giving her societal pressure over wearing the hijab and who she interacts with or what she does or how she does it is well within the islamic grounds. A muslim man is responsible for his wife and her hijab and her behavior. Not only because he’s the leader but because she’s someone that is under his supervision. You know this too, please let’s stop pretending like the Quran and hadiths don’t teach us this back to back to back. And as a woman it’s your job to obey your husband. Obviously i’m not talking about a cruel and abusive man BUT as a man, he’s allowed to decide what you do and how you do it and he has the right to divorce you while you do not have the right to divorce him on the spot. You need to contact your imam and family to get that sorted while he can do it by saying 1 simple sentence.

Imagine throwing a tantrum because you don't want to be asked personal questions on a REALITY SHOW. If they were on the same page about how to raise their kids, cool but SHE isn't Muslim so him trying to force the religion/lifestyle on her and their potential kids is definitely controlling/abusive. Same way I was so against Steven forcing Mormonism on Alina.

I don’t think it is wrong for Mahmoud to walk away when his temper rises. It’s better than him losing his cool on whomever he is arguing with. And Gabe seemed to want to antagonize him.
@supershepherd Жыл бұрын
No, Muhammad is immature. He gets angry every time things don't go his way. He doesn't really love Nicole the way she is and Nicole has no back bone. Imma be honest, I don't see what she sees in Muhammad. He has a problem with everything she does and never really takes accountability for what he does. Everything Gabe was asking was valid. Think about it, Gabe is trans and his wife had to accept him for that. If his wife was at as fake about her acceptance for him as Muhammad was about "not forcing" his ways onto Nicole, he would have been gone a long time ago.
@NomNomGirl1 Жыл бұрын
@@supershepherd it's not about not going his way. She lied to him about being Muslim and wearing the hijab. In his culture it's rude to wear what she was wearing. As a woman. . .I'm a little bit more annoyed with Nicole than her man-child of a husband at this point. Like I'm not trying to be mean but she comes off to me as a woman who really isn't confident and secure in herself, like she's more scared of her life *without* this dude than having a life *with* him. She talks to him like he's her child (big red flag) and when he's being a d*ck she's just constantly trying to coo and coddle him. I get that no one is perfect but I can't picture willingly staying with someone that you constantly have to defend to your friends, family, and the rest of the world in general. If she thinks that being soft and sweet is going to get him to calm down and get him to change, there's literally centuries of documentation from women who have tried the same thing and failed miserably. If she were in a videogame now would be the point where she realizes that now would be the best time to swallow her pride and hit that "reset" button.

I understand your point but I find it interesting an abused woman acting like an abused woman is more annoying to you than an abusive man. Why do we hold women to such higher behavioural standards than toxic men?
@Katyades Жыл бұрын
Tha fac Nicole say sorry to Mahmud just because him had a terrible behaviour..... That is a start of a abusive relationship..
@ESDPOD Жыл бұрын
I don’t think that it’s because Mahmoud can’t have a “mature debate about it” re: his children being Muslim, it’s because it’s his culture to raise his children as Muslim. She knew this. She chose this. She has never had any conversation with him about the fundamentals of their relationship AND she wants sympathy for her awful decisions.
@tamsel814 Жыл бұрын
I also think that it is quite rude to question someone about raising their children in their own religion. Expecially with words like forcing them.
@snkybrki Жыл бұрын
Just because it's part of someone's culture to do something, doesn't mean that they can't still have a mature debate about it. Where i've lived, it's cultural to go hunting frequently, mostly for sport. But I can still talk about it seriously, without freaking out, as long as the other party keeps their cool. They were good questions, and his responses to them showed just how shitty things might have ended up.

Nicole gaslights the hell out of Mahamoud! She encouraged Gabe to go after him and then sits there and cries like she has no idea what just happened. I can't stand her! She is a MIDDLE AGED, 38 years old woman that sells vintage clothes?! She goes traveling and ends up married to an Egyptian man in his 20s from one of the most conservative parts of Egypt after a week and then complains about how he was raised and his religion??? What the actual hell? AND NOW she's bringing him to California. She clearly has lived a life where her parents have enabled her behavior because there's no way that woman could afford to even apply for his visa without help from someone.

In islam, forcing into reversion is not accepted. One’s relation to God is with God only, no one else can make us belive in Allah. Nichole’s decision was rushed and it surely takes a while do decide if you want to change your religion (and not only your religion, its a whole different belief system and life culture). Mahmood was also a bad example of a good muslim, forcing her into certain garments when he himself, being a muslim, wasnt leading by example.
