It's amazing that this situation never even crossed her mind. Any halfway intelligent human residing in the U.S. should know that as a young woman, things in a ln Indian household might just be very different than what you are accustomed to. It's not just her though, young people I the U.S. have no idea how things work outside of their "safe space." We have crowds of lgtbq750+9er's out in the street protesting on behalf of hamas, a group of people that would love nothing more than to relieve them of their heads. Meanwhile the only thing preventing a cease fire is Hamas is torturing women and children, so they can't very well hand them back over without the world seeing what savages they really are. These kids have been so brain fk'd that they would fly right over given the chance to be a part of the resistance. I say let em' if they survive, they might understand the world a little better.

Why would they both be in a relationship when they knew absolutely nothing about each other? They are both at fault. Unfortunately, it seems to be a cultural practice to keep things from the bride until after the wedding. Kim said on the first episode of the tell all that she found out that in India a man is not required to tell his fiance about his financial obligations. That information is not required to be shared until after the wedding. That's why she didn't know about the loan he took out to build the apartment for them to live in. Kim thought that it was a magical relationship because she saw him in a dream so she didn't have to worry about the realities of living with a traditional Indian family and being a traditional Indian wife. She also thinks she's entitled to live her life exactly the way she wants to regardless of what culture she has chosen to move. She's a spoiled brat. Screaming like that is unhinged.

Her husband is oblivious at her scream for help, and refuse to give her a hug but want her to wash his “brother underwear”! We are aware that’s hellishly intimidating sometimes and try to make it easier on people, and nobody is obligated to always attend, but it’s what we do and it’s kind of important if you’re gonna join the family. Every family is likely to have main political or social leanings, cultural norms, things they do and don’t celebrate or enjoy, family hobbies, varying levels of closeness, traditions, kids or lack there of, traumas and bonds…it’s obviously most severe when it’s this much of a culture clash and is tied to religion, but it’s not exclusive to TJ or his family or any one culture. It’s why this kind of thing isn’t easy and you have to have a strong relationship to merge cultures, and you both have to have patience and wiggle room. I haven't watched this season, but just based on my own experience with his culture this seems very typical of wives. @@sgia1032I watch other recap shows not the actual show, but it’s interesting to me that people from other cultures always go after someone with wildly different views and expect them to change for them. TJ says in his interview that “Kimberly thinks like a US girl” and that he didn’t tell her what would be expected of her in the family when they got married. Why not be with someone from your culture that agrees with you on those views. He got a willful American woman and is trying to break her down to his demands. She’s absolutely insane yes, but the way he is essentially trying to have her submit to him and his wants is terrifying.
