Nicole Bampton - Fig and mascarpone tart

tried making this lovely looking tart last night pastry worked well but couldn't get the filling to set. After re reading the recipe several times realised that I put 50ml instead of 30ml alcohol. tried cooking it longer but still didn't set. Would that amount be sufficient to stop the tart from setting? or did I perhaps do something else wrong?
