I do the same thing, but I have Koleda Belabog and Ben Bigger. Definitely not as good for bosses, but the Ben+Koleda enhanced ratios and aoe makes clearing goons insanely fast.

Wasn't Soukaku supposed to be better in this teamcomp? Is that not true?

Probably is but she doesn't group enemies like Nicole can.

She is, though as it stands where we are in the game: Nicole is without her proper team as the only ether unit until the next banner goes live, so she can work well here. Especially as grouper. Plus, you'll need to build two teams anyways, which Nicole has her place. And Valk's use of her plays better than Soukaku for what he's going for. If you want full ice team, than yes, but again Valk is aiming for grouping enemies. Soukaku can, but not as effectively as Nicole.
