Very thorough! If Dripping Springs ever does get its own golf course, the nickname can be updated to Chipping, Sipping & Dripping BTW, I'm also a lifelong Texan who has never been bitten by.a snake or stung by a scorpion but I'd still love to know as much as I can to keep my streak going. Please share.

Oh my gosh, Chipping, Sipping and Dripping is so cute! As for avoiding the critters...always always shake out your shoes before putting them on. When picking something up off the ground, like a water hose or a ball or a stick, give it a kick first to see if anything is living in it or under it. Lastly, when out hiking, if there's an obstruction in your way, like a big rock or fallen tree branch, don't just step over it to the other side. Step on top of it and take a large stride away from the obstruction in case there's something curled up underneath the far side. Hope this helps! By the way, do you live in Dripping?
