I understood completely what you meant in terms of some people can’t wash their hair or even own shampoo or tools that work because they rely on a stylist. A very simple style can be a ponytail or bun with your natural hair. Something to “get you by”.

When I was relaxed, I mainly relied on my stylist and friends. Went to college and only knew how to do a ponytail lol. It was a mess and my hair fell completely out. I went natural and have been doing my own hair ever since. I understood what you meant lol. We should all know how to at least do some sort of easy style, to get by during the week or so!

about you not understanding why many women can’t do their hair and rely on the salon, you have to keep in mind you have a looser hair texture and therefore easier to manage than people with 4a/b/c hair. We just have to show empathy for everyone making their own decisions ❤

While everyone does have different hair textures, I still stand by we should be able to style our hair to some capacity to make it presentable. There are women with the kinkiest of kinky textures that can comb their hair. It may take a little longer, but God didn’t create different textures for only some to be “manageable” by the owner.

I’d also like to include, the individual I mentioned who didn’t own shampoo, had a relaxer. So it’s not just natural hair specific, it’s women specific 🙂

10:44 Some people grew up getting their hair done and that's their norm and your norm is you grew up doing your hair... different experiences also different preferences with their hair permed or not. I know someone that prefer that someone else do their hair and that's okay... 🤷🏾‍♀️

It can be a preference, but one should still be able to get their hands in their head if needed-it doesn’t have to be a fancy style. Never said we should not go to stylists.
