Back in the day Penmanship was a big deal. Since that is how people communicated back then. You should make a vignette of an inkwell, feather pen(quill), old love letters, the autograph books, and old school books for a "school" theme. Love Williamsburg pottery...one of my favorites. TFS 😊❤

Blue Willow is one of my favorites. Growing up I read "The Harvester" by Gene Stratton Porter which sparked my love for that pattern. Then, watching Bonanza and Big Valley, seeing those dishes on their tables. "Willow" from scholastic was another book that increased my love for Blue Willow. After all that... the only piece I own is a cup and saucer😂That tray was gorgeous!

This goodwill looks so organized compared to ours. Loved that bunny! Would have bought the “gobble” container to put kitchen utensils in. Wish I had those blue & cream Pfaltzgraft pieces…..the soup tureen and the one next to it. I’ve forgotten already what it was. Fun video!!! 😊

The blue pillbox hat was in style in the 60’s. The pillbox was a favorite of Jackie Kennedy. I wore one for my daughters first communion

I was a naughty boy at goodwill once. They had a set of bowls/plates/mugs for 19.99. Very pricey! I didnt want the mugs so I broke the set up and asked an employee how much for the bowls. They said 50 cents each LOL. And I came back for the plates too.

I feel like sometimes people forget that Goodwill is a charity. Not for profit. In my city they contribute to the community. They have programs for the unemployed. Programs to help people get jobs. The money you spend there helps people.

I think part of the problem is that, yes they are a charity but for the longest time it felt like those of us who were being charitable by giving them our stuff so that they could sell it to make money for their charity were also getting something back in the form of decent prices, or even the coupons that they used to give when you would donate. Now it feels like you go there and give your stuff and then if you want to buy anything in the store often times the prices are just so much higher than any other thrift store around. That’s how it feels in Minnesota anyway, but I have noticed that our prices are pretty high when compared with other parts of the country. So not that there needs to be anything in it for me when I give to charity, but personally I got used to feeling like, oh if I give my stuff to Goodwill I get a coupon and then I can go in and buy some stuff for a reasonable prices with especially with my Coupon. It doesn’t feel like there is any thanks anymore to those of us who are making their business run by giving them things to sell and they make millions each year off of our free stuff. I also do genuinely have a problem with how much they pay in salaries to the top executives and the fact that some of their stores still pay Pennies per hour to disabled workers. If a human is going to work in a store, they deserve to be paid the same as any other human, regardless of their ability status. But at least they have improved on this point by reducing the number of stores who are doing this.

Before moving the piggy bank there a hand to the right. It might be redware or just clay. What is in the palm of the hand? I collect hands and haven’t seen anything like that

Nice haul! I have the original Quake wax that I bought in Los Angeles's back in late 70's. Its paddle is white plastic. Is it going down good to know I can replace it. Original more clear but still as strong as ever!!!
