Oh nice. Listening to his way of phrasing here, I would almost bet that he grabbed the song from Ray McKinley´s beautifully wacky version that charted in December `47. Bing was so great, and still he was always ready to learn when he heard something good.

Isn't Bing the most heard human ever to have be or has passed?

He does a good job but I like Danny Kaye and the Andrew Sisters' version better.

Could very well be. Danny, was a fabulous entertainer and singer !! And, what a sense of humour and timing... one of the few, along with Bing, who easily soared above the madding crowd when in came to show biz !! Charasmatic, spontaneous and inventive beyond belief... a totally lovable character. And, the Andrew Sisters... always spot-on to perfection !! :)) Ahhh... yes !! They were sooooo tight, smooth, adaptable... adding a buoyancy to anything they lent their voices to.

If you actually listen to the lyrics and understand what is being made fun of, it seems advanced for its time.
