I miss my bus rides to college (public transit). I miss having movie nights almost every Saturday with my 3 best friends and just hang out, drink beer, goof around and talk about stuff. I miss the routine, of my dad yelling hello at 5pm from Monday-Friday because that's when he gets home from work, of having to get up at 6am to get ready for school and be in a rush, of getting to work and be at my second home, of being able to just run up and down to the supermarket to get some fresh food for lunch. I miss physical touch, hugs, shoulder punches, hand shakes, fist bumps. I didn't think I would and I was very nonchalant about it, because holy shit I miss how things were 4 weeks ago.

I miss being able to hug my girlfriend, she and I got together just before quarantine, and we haven't even shared a first kiss yet... I miss her warm embrace, her eyes that sparkle like stars, the glimmer in them that a camera can't capture, I miss everything about her, as I haven't been able to experience any of it in person. I miss walking to class and her offering to give me a ride home even though it's two miles out of her way. I miss everything about her, and I've hardly experienced the person she is in a relationship. I'm afraid too, afraid that I'll never get to experience that, that something will happen to one of us, and we'll never even get our first kiss. I love her so much, but I can only see her through video calls in 188p and hear her voice in our phone calls. Every part of me wants to wrap my arms around her and tell her everything will be okay, but I can hardly even tell myself that.
