Partly her play style, partly how anyone should introduce their character on their session one, partly as Matt used her character to introduce the happy fun ball. I'd suggest to any DM with a friend that's interested in dnd but hasnt got the time to commit, to allow them to play an Story PC (NPC that's controlled by a player really) Allows them to experience the RP and it disguises the hand holding that tends to come with a brand new player joining an established group.

Mercer got some great adventures...the last few GMs I been with are so much into politics, low magic, low exp, its so boring, even the players arent as humorous as these celebrities. I love playing characters like Deborah's Twiggy to lighten up the mood of the atmosphere...but they roll their eyes or say you touch my stuff i cut you, etc...some people just dont know D&D is about high adventure and fun.

I agree to some extent. My current session I'm playing the DM is all about sticking to the rules or making them harsher. Even if you roll a one on your HP level up he doesn't let you reroll, all of the encounters we face we barely make it through the skin of our teeth and encounters are a lot more dangerous because he decided to make Short rest a day and Long rest a week (but only for HP recovery since that would make Mages impossible to play and classes with short rest cooldowns have like half their abilities missing most of the game). While the HP recovery system is more realistic since your character isn't going from Level 1 to Level 11 in the space of a few months, I don't think a tabletop fantasy game needs to be that strict. Although I do find our new game a lot more tense as a result as now any encounters we face across the way carry real weight because we can't just recover all of our shit from a nights rest.

(not in this highlight) is possibly one of my favorite Jester lines ever. She has Jester's original personality and mannerisms so well. When Jester says "Hey! We saw youuuu!", it's amazing from just a linguistic standpoint.

That was... something. This group of people are all amazing in their own ways, intelligent and creative, working hard and having fun at the same time (in a good way). Even OOC, they contribute to the feel of the game. I half recognised the guest actress, I'll come back to that. At first I was put off by the sheer amount of saccharine, and I couldn't really decide if it was the actress piling it up, or the actress playing a character who was piling it up. (It makes a difference. It's like _Tropic Thunder:_ Robert Downey Jr. didn't wear blackface: he played a character who did.) And then I saw how the actress interacted seamlessly with GM and players and all was well, and the cutesplosions with Laura/Jester, and it all worked. But she did pull out all the girlie-cute stops. Anyway, Deborah Ann Woll. I was following True Blood for a few years (I stopped watching because of the mind-control shenanigans in #4) and Jessica was one of the highlights. A woman who can't quite escape her teens, who is given the powers of an ageless predator. A mixture of innocence, rebellion, and pragmatism, just like any young person but amplified. Inconscient Bill is forced to become a parent. Pam, who gloated at Bill's misfortune, is forced to deal with some baby vampire issues as well. And Hoyt-- Jessica was one of the minor characters that contributed a lot to the quality of the show. Excellent work by DAW, hope to see more in the future.
