Hey Nic! Very nice video! I think you should make a series of videos testing all your equipment annually. Like making an annual testing video for your fire alarm system in your house, an annual flashing video for your sprinkler system and maybe an annual testing video for your security system. It would be very nice to see wouldn't it?

Next time when I get the same fire lite panel like yours have or a different fire lite panel, I will make my own fire alarm system setup as well just like yours in the garage, but for my own fire alarm setup, I am adding my favorite 1st 2nd and 3rd gen Wheelock AS's for the indoor fire alarm system and outdoor fire alarm I'm adding a waterproof back box of a Wheelock MT-24-WM's with my BG-10's BG-12's and STI Stopper II on a BG-10 and BG-12's on my fire alarm system and sync modules over indoors that i'm going to using it in the future for my fire alarm systems.

Oh yeah, my FireLite ES-50X panel, it is interesting how it works with LiteSpeed. On this version of LiteSpeed that is on the ES panels, I call it "Reverse flashscan" Because the LEDs on the detectors, they flash green to state that they are initializing, then they go solid red for a bit, then start doing it's normal LiteSpeed Flashing. Modules when power is reapplied to the SLC, it flashes red then green for a second and back to red. Just thought I'd share that because those ES panels are really interesting lol

I have an idea for you, Nic! I wonder if it’s possible to activate the cooling fan and open the dampers in the generator building if the smoke detector is activated, so that they will essentially become a smoke exhaust system when necessary. Kind of like the setup in that high school you made videos of-but on a smaller scale.

It's set up the opposite where it will close the damper and shut the generator down which will shut the fan down.

No this wasn't one of the normal monthly test. This was our annual test where just the fire alarm system is being tested.

Hi Nic, Just a quick question in regards to the alarm condition during the battery test, wouldnt that be considered a fail because it was an unintentional alarm, or would it still be considered as a pass since it gave the condition required, despite the detector falsely going off?

The high temperature is for a warning when the generator is running when the fan and damper would already be opened. The damper already opens once temperature gets higher.

I highly suggest that all doors with a keypad system automatically unlock when the system is activated. I understand there might be a button to press to exit, but if that fails or a fire starts and you're stuck in the building, you won't be able to get out. I recommend linking the fire alarm system to the keypad system so that doors unlock and stay unlocked when the fire alarm is activated.

Not necessary I recommend watching my video on the access control system where I explain the egress operation. It's electronic/mechanical entry but it is all and only mechanical egress access control stays locked for egress all the time it's the mechanical door hardware that lets you exit just like any other non-electrified door.
