You need like a transfer tank but rig it up for a main tank for the genset if you can run 15 hours off 5 gallons a 50 gallon transfer tank you could run 150 hours but you may not get power outages as long as we do in America in western side of Colorado

That is certainly an idea I've had I'm not sure how much fuel we are allowed to store like that. Usually I will fill my car up if I know there's a big storm coming so if I have to I can take it out of my car.

9:04 bro all you had to do was hold the head of a small sledge hammer behind the block on the opposite side as you hit the end grain on the other side with a coaw hammer. Split the wood around the bolts. I do it all the time to remove wood framing without having to cut wires out or damaging them. Pipes too.

Hey Nic! The drill command on Fire-Lite panels initiates a full evacuation of the building using all methods. Which includes using every NAC REGARDLESS of your cause-and-effect rules. You can however configure this in the menu or FS-Tools if your panel supports it. That's about the most I know with Fire-Lite; I'm more of a Notifier person: however, I hope this can help in your endeavors. Hope this gave you some insight!

Surge protectors are not for high energy events of long duration. They are for low energy short evernts. If a powersupply get ripped open (JBL psu) then the event is way too high in energy. Surge protector in powerbars are usually fused at 2A or so. Panel wide goes to a breaker. Like a 30A. If multiple breakers got tripped, it would have also tripped the surge one, and allowed the surge to pass fully. Then, a breaker is designed to cut 120V, not 14.4kV. When it would trip, it would continue to arc internally, allowing the current to still flow. So the breakers won't do much protections.

I know that some Firelite panels have a 'hazard alert' zone that would be perfectly suitable to this use case. I wonder why the 9200UDLS does not. I think the panel I saw with it was a 9060UD, or perhaps it was the Notifier FireWarden version?

I was on the 9AM ferry from Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen on the 19th (which happened to be Spirit of BC) I was on the foredeck for the first half of the sailing, and it was a tad windy. Once we left Active Pass into open water I had to go back inside... Also I wanted to mention that like lightning, you can figure out how far away the electrical fault is by timing the fluctuation to the bzzzzt. Divide the number of seconds by 3 to get approximate km, or divide by 5 to get the approximate miles. Sounds like about 400m on the security camera.
@nics-systems-electricКүн бұрын
We were just a few sailings apart lol. It was definitely pretty windy out there. I can't remember if I was on Spirit BC or VI and good call on the arc/lightning distance.
